You were in a nice tavern, which you recognised to be as the Leaky Cauldron. Your mother stepped out of the hearth, flicking a bit of ash off her robes. It surprises me every time! She said, laughing. The floo systems a bit wild, isnt it?

The spindly chair by the door burst into flames. No, not the right one! Ollivander said, waving his wand at the chair. Deflammo. The flames faded, leaving a slightly smoking chair. He mumbled something to himself, staring at the blackened chair. He seemed to make an internal decision before bustling to the back of his shop. Curious... he mumbled, pulling out a battered and blackened box. This was not a creation of my own... he said warily, looking at the box. It was a creation of my fathers. It is a cursed wand, but I believe that there would be one who could tame it. It is cursed, but powerful, very powerful. He took the wand out of its box. Elder wood with a thestral core. This wand is very temperamental, and may not work for you when you want it to. It serves no master, but works alongside the wizard as an equal. There is one reason I never use thestral cores, but maybe it will serve you well. He said, handing you the wand.
