Their hood slipped down, which seemed to anger them a bit. They staggered back, struggling to keep balanced, a small grunt escaping him. Without thinking, the boy swung the mace to rid himself of the extra weight in his hands. The mace hit the pavement and bounced just out of Gail's reach. The boy felt a wave of heat flare up in him, and his body temperature increase dramatically as his flight or flight response kicked in.

Deanne was too enraged to notice, strands of her dark hair falling in her face as she tried to keep her hold on the boy's neck. Obviously they were both around the same weight, though the boy was slightly stronger than her. The thought made her angrier, and she let out another crazed shout. It was then that she felt him get warmer, and her eyes widened in shock.

The boy dropped to the bloodied ground, still bleeding from unseen wounds. He struggled, pulling a small sai out of it's sheath beneath his dark green cloak. He scrambled to flip it around and attempt to hit the girls hand(s) with the blunt end of the handle. He didn't seem too willing to draw blood. His vision started to blur the hotter he felt. The f**k is going on?

"Oh my god Dee stop it!" Kai finally yelled, running into the fray with his hands out in front of him as if they would protect him. He tried his best to dodge the mess of flailing hands. "You're hurting him!"

"That's the point-" Growl. "Idiot!" She hissed back, but she felt herself getting weaker, even as her opponent missed each hit. Soon enough the heat was too much for her and she somersaulted to the side as fast as possible. She still held the rope in her hands.

The figure stood where he was, his breathing audible and rough. Sparks danced around him as he wielded his sai threateningly, his cloak billowing in the strong autumn breeze. He pulled his hood up with his free hand, a low, feral-like growl escaping him.

Ben kept whimpering, "Oh sh**." The entire time.

Gail had managed to roll onto her side and grab the handle of her mace and drag it close.

"We won't hurt you if you don't hurt us..." Kai replied in a hushed tone, though he still stood behind Dee and next to Lucas. "Just tell us what you remember and why you're here and maybe who you are. De- uh, I mean, she-" he paused to gesture to the small teen. "-won't touch you unless you fight us."

They seemed to consider this and weigh their options. Slowly the sparks died down and so did the heat radiating from him. They dropped their hand-- the one with the sai-- to their side, considering what Kai had said, but was still wary.

"Okay. Good. That's progress." The blond stuttered slightly, but continued to speak. "Okay, so why don't we take the mask off first. Or, actually, what do you want us to call you?" He tried his best to assess what they were going to do next but it was difficult when he couldn't see their expressions.

The boy tightened his grip on the sai's handle, his body language read that the mask going off was a straight up 'No.' He was probably a mute by the way he acted and dodged questions without saying anything at all. His response to Kai's second question was a noise that sounded like creepily like an owl call.

Ben hugged the sergeant's arm even tighter than before, "Hhhh."

"This sh** is straight out of a horror movie." Chris hissed from the back, in the shadows. In sync, Lucas and Dee replied with whispered "Shut up Chris!"s, and the man let out an annoyed whimper.

Kai shot them all glares and turned back to the masked individual. "So... is there anything at all you'd be willing to share with us?"
