As I see the other group doesn't make it up, I decide to watch what happens next.

I hissed at loud noise and looked quickly all about the area in fear that a horde could be coming. "Hey, can you guys help us up?!"
I heaved up the ladder and leaned it vertically against the wall. I couldn't tell if the ladder alone could help get any of us get to the top. I looked back at the 2 behind me. One was armed with a bow and arrow, the other with a gun and its ammo, and I had my own rifle with rounds untouched.

"We can probably find a quick place to hide, like a building, or something..." I gripped my rifle even tighter, seeing that we'll probably need it. "Uhh, is there any place where we can hide? If we hide amongst some rubble, we can probably go unnoticed. Or we can fight off a pathway to a secure area..."

I was ready to find an area to hide, or run if need it be. I'm hoping the other 2 were able to run quick or use their weapons if we couldn't hide.

"A rifle is better long range so I think Flute should go up first if we're going to try and go up. My gun is good for scatter fire. It's not very accurate, but it's good in small areas like this alley. Because of that, I'm willing to go up last. Otherwise, where would we run to?" I ask, ready for action.

I lost my balance and regrettably the ladder fell to the ground hard. I bit my bottom lip, a cold chill went through my body, and I wash shaking. "Hell!" I looked at Ren and Echo then down at the rest of my party. "No no, this isn't good! Um..." I stand up on the fire escape, gripping my silenced pistol tightly. I did NOT see this coming... Then a thought occurred to me. I gasp, "Wait! This could be a good thing! We will scout and tell you which direction to head for and to avoid any zombies!" I turn my head fast to Ren and Echo whom were also shaken up. "Ren, stay here with the group. Echo, we need to climb up these stairs to scout ahead and warn of what we see to the rest!" Without giving her a say I turn to the steps up. I put my gun in my belt and grab my hatchet, preparing myself for any close combat as I climb up these metal stairs. I hope these stairs are sturdy enough for us... My hand tightly on the rail as I ascended the building carefully.

Looking inside the store, I signal Anna to follow me. Slinking into the store as quietly as possible, I attempt to quietly, erm, 'Get Rid Of' the infected.

edit: actually I think I did get the genders correct, except for Ren which is now fixed

Talyn attempts to set the ladder up again however when he tries to climb up it the ladder slips down the wall, coming to rest on the floor of the alley, Talyn gets back up again quickly. You hear moans from within the store you just exited from, you're out of time, now you either run to the hospital or to the Country. Being a straight alleyway there are no real hiding places (nice try though). Daemon pulls Echo along up towards the roof while Ren continues standing to see what happens.

Country group:
You attempt to quietly enter through the door, however not having checked the door at all you realize only too late that a small bell is attached above the door, it rings as you enter alerting the infected in the store. You also realize that there were move zombies in the store than you noticed before, dead bodies rise up from behind shelves, it looks like you're now facing down 6 zombies. You can run or try to fight.

*facepalm* sorry! -_-
and no, that would be too convenient apparently the city (whatever city that you're in) decided to have one fire escape per alley or something (aren't those hard earned tax dollars doing wonders?) so, to answer your question in one word: nope!

Well then, seeing as the building across the street didn't have a fire escape, I look up to the others, "Please... Don't forget to grab supplies for me too! And some rags, lighters, and any alcohol over 80 Proof if it's safe enough to raid the store... I'll hopefully be waiting for you at the hospital!" I call out to them before knocking over the trashcans I pass as I book it towards the Hospital, hoping that I'll survive the trip... Provided I don't have a panic attack on the way there.

EDIT: ((Pbbbth. Talk about safety code violations! Every building is supposed to have a fire escape on both sides.))

"ehhh.....uhhh.....eeep" I look quickly back and fourth noticing the group split. I notice Talyn running frantically running towards the way of the hospital like a chicken with its head cut off. I facepalm. "So much for this....." I heave a heavy sigh. "flute we don't have much time! Should we head towards the hospital?" I say in a hurried tone ready to run.
