Within an hour you come across a small trade town with many different shops set up, however, you don't have any gold! Maybe there could be work to be done? Or perhaps, if you continue on and find something of value, you can come back to trade. Or, you can ignore the little town and continue on your journey.

What do you do?

I look around town for some work, keeping my head down but looking for anyone who looks like work in human form.

In a short time, you come across what appears to be a precious stone and jewelry trade store called the 'Precious Rock' with a roughly painted 'Help Wanted' sign in the window. You could stop in here to ask about a short-term job or find somewhere else.

I knock on the door before heading in, walking quickly over to the desk and dipping my head, clasping my hands together, saying quietly, "Could I please help here?"

The bald man with narrow eyes peeks up from the stone he was working on and walks over. If you work here, you'll have to start with clean-up duty before I know how you work. You need to have very steady hands and a good memory for the different stones and different orders. If you feel up to the challenge, I will pay you 2 gold coins an hour for 5 hours of work each day. How long would you be able to work here for?" You can work for just a day, which the owner may not appreciate, work for a few days, or work for a couple weeks. Your hours will be 10 am (Story time, and there are analog clocks here so you will know.) to 2 pm with a half hour lunch break at noon. Remember, you will need to find an inn if you stay for more than a day.

"We got the supplies and we found a healer and she helped Lilly and Barrett got my a necklace." I say all in one breath while putting up my sword.

Centaur
Dumerki
Name: Dusk
Gender: Female
Animal Half: Knabstrupper : Main Color: Black : Speckled: Light Grey
Human Half: Pale skin with black hair and pale blue eyes. She is also lean, wearing intricate battle gear most of the time. Certainly a sight to behold, but she never was one to fuss over looks...
Personality: Independent, distant and adventure seeking, she doesn't let anything slow her down. She can be cruel sometimes, but otherwise has an okay personality. Often she takes the role of the antagonist in a story, but hey, someone has to, right?
Hobbies: She enjoys hunting, and hates forging. She is happiest when ever she can jump over something

(Is this info sufficient?)

"May i work here for a few weeks? If I can get a room for that long, of course. And if you don't mind." I shuffle my feet shyly, not wanting to be rude. In the afternoons I knew I could go out and hunt and collect herbs. "D-do you know one that's cheap?" I stutter, looking the shop owner int he eyes for the first time.

He smiles kindly and says, "Don't worry about an inn, I have a spare room upstairs you can use. I reserve it for those working here. Feel free to go check it out and you can start work in an hour and work for three hours today. Then you will have some gold for the town." He hands you a key for the room and adds in, "First room on the left." With that, he turns back and resumes his work. You can go put your things in your room and rest for the hour or perhaps walk around town.

I dip my head, bowing down "Thank you" I take the key (I almost put eye??) and run upstairs nervously, unlocking the room and opening it, looking around it and inspecting it, turning over each corner not to miss anything "Town seems nice.."
