You slowly approach the eggs, but see no parents around, so you feel them. They feel warm but turning cool, so they might be abandoned or maybe not.

Do you want to pick them up?

I stay very close to them, sitting less than a foot away, watching and listening for any movement indicating a parent's return. I decide to stay like this for ten minutes, deciding that if there is still nothing by ten minutes, I will pick up the eggs and continue. (I am just deciding things if these things happen. Nothing is certain. You can still change it. So, I'm not writing my own story.)

That's not really an option... Although I suppose it sort of follows observe, so okay. Nothing comes, so you pick up the eggs.
