ROUND FOUR! CLOSED!

Nightstarre, Mewzzer, and Winter softly head towards the balcony French doors. It sure is overgrown and could be hazardous. But this is the path they picked so they continue, deftly, inside. Loud creaking can be heard beneath everyone's feet. Will this terrace really hold them? Aside from the creaking, it seems sturdy on the stoney balcony. In confidence, someone's sylesti bounds onward and bounces up and down in the middle of the terrace. Everyone winces at each bounce but there is no shaking or shuddering of the floor so the group proceeds.

(Congratulations, you have made it to Round Four, please see below.)

----------------

Mikazukichan, Fang, Ivodince, Willowivy, Scarlettkitsune, and Keanai all listen at the heavy doors bearing the clawed-marked floor. What lies behind these ominous doors? "CLANG!" Something loud fell or was thrown against the doors. Startled, the group looks at each other then at the backs of their fellow hunters, who are taking their own, and perhaps better chosen, paths. With a deep, collective sigh, the group pushes at the heavy doors. They don't budge. They try pulling the doors. Not even an inch. After a bit, a sylesti paws at the ground; each door has a small deadbolt firmly planted into the floor. After quickly unlatching the deadbolts, the group hurriedly pushes open the heavy doors to be met with a large rush of fur and claws. Screams are mixed and mingled with the monsters' calls and growls. The screams suddenly turn into giggles as some people realize they are being snuggled by various sylesties. Looking around the room, the group sees that several sylesti have been making this large room their hang-out place in the woods. Snacks and some toys were scattered around the room and frankly, it was a bit of a mess. The group of wild sylesti seem tame enough and eager for a new friend and a life better than spending their days in an old, creepy house.

For those who chose the metal doors straight ahead, you have a choice: You may take your prize which is a sylesti bred by me OR run out and continue with the others on the balcony. *About the sylesties: Some are better than others as far as carried / visible traits, coloring, and breed. In my opinion, anyways. I will randomize names with the pets. If you choose the sylesti and do not like the one you received, you are welcome to pass on it; I would rather someone pass than release it.*

----------------

Velyanthe, Nyoka, Jadelion, Cuddly21223, and Okapilover7 ignore the dark feeling emitting from the open door on the right. Slowly, everyone creeps forward, assuming this may very well be the end for them. The pause outside the door; it's quiet. One by one, they peek their head around the corner. All is still, nothing moves and nothing makes a sound. The room is eerie and the darkness seems gluttonous, eating any light from the hallway. Gently, someone steps further into the room to ascertain if this is the way out..hopefully.. And in looking around, it looks like the group just signed their own death certificates. For on the floor, in what little light there may be, glistens something chalky and pale.. Like a stick. Or many sticks. But, unfortunately, they are not sticks as the group collectively realizes: They're bones. Previous explorer's bones, perhaps. And lots of them. In all the fear, a couple of people notice items on the floor. These items seem to be whatever hints and remnants of these poor adventurer's. Well, they're no use to them now so everyone grabs something and tries to head for the exit.

For those who chose the right path, with the slightly open door, you have a choice: You may take your prize, which will be an avatar item of decent value randomized using a random generator, (Please don't get carried away and think it's a monthly item or anything; my account -is- only a bit over a month old, after all.) OR run out and continue with the others on the balcony.

----------------

A DISCLAIMER: This will be the only round that I have changed (at this rate, no one would get much farther, most likely) for the sake of continuation. There will be no other saves and the regular elimination rounds will continue. So if you choose to forgo your prize and continue, please realize that the next round you may fall into a pit and get some mushrooms. Or you might make it through. The choice is yours. Good luck!

----------------

ROUND FOUR

The dwindling group gathers on the terrace and look at their new options.

To the left is a stone walkway that leads to the woods. Surely, no treasure would be hidden out there, right? But in the newspaper article, he had said he hid the treasure on his property, not in his house, specifically. But there are always some kind of danger in the forests..at least in movies there are.

Ahead is a truly foreboding door. Vines cover the walls and reach for the weather-beaten wooden door, as if to warn prospecting snooper's that what lies ahead is not worth searching.

To the right is a broken window sitting high behind two ornate patio chairs and a small cafe table. There appears to be 'stuff' piled behind the window but upon closer inspection, the window can be unlocked and opened and the blockage pushed away.

Which path do you choose?

To the left, stone walkway to the woods:
Nyoka
Willowivy
Jadelion
Fang
Winter
Keanai
Nightstarre

Ahead, foreboding door:
Mewzzer
Scarlettkitsune
Cuddly21223
Ivodince

To the right, broken terrace window:

Willow pets all the pets that are snuggling her and aches to take one home, but as her stables are overrun, she places a final pat on a fuzzy head and decides to head out for the terrace.

Once there, she stares at the three options, unsure of where to go. Her trust Zolnixi, Sachelle, stands beside her, looking at each option carefully, his eyes focus.

Soon, though, his focus is no longer divided equally. Every few moments, he turn to look at the forest. As he stares into the trees, he tilts his head every so slightly.

"What do you think, boy?"

In response, he turns to the window with the broken glass and squints his eyes. After a moment, a soft, yet distinct growl can be heard.

"Not that way? If you say so..."

Now, it's between the door and the forest. Willow feels uneasy about both options, not liking the idea of being trapped inside again, but also not liking the unknown of the forest. As she looks over both paths, she is alarmed to see someone running straight for the forest, closely followed by their pet.

Not wanting to decide, she turns to her Zolnixi and says, "I'll leave it up to you."

He looks at Willow with determined eyes before he turns and starts for the forest. If treasure is hidden, it's bound to be there.

"Into the forest we go," she says to herself, almost uneasy, before following her pet. At least they won't be alone.

Mika and her sylesties looked around at the gathered silly sylesties they'd found and shook their heads. Maybe the whole haunted aspect of the house was from these tricksters. Well, nothing really to be found there, so Mika and her group headed back out into the hallway.

There were people returning from the right-hand door saying nothing was really to be found there either, so Mika headed for the balcony, her sylesties following.

When they all got outside, another choice presented itself to them: out to the forest, through a door, or through a window?

"Well... doors haven't been so lucky for us lately, and I don't really want to leave the house yet.... so let's go through the window!"

I'm gonna be one of the people who plays it safe and takes the avatar item instead of falling into a pit and receiving mushrooms :p

Thanks for the game!
