The mist around Leaf began to slowly expand, picking up speed. It formed itself into a hollow sphere around the three, blocking view from the outside.
Aether looked at Leaf in surprise. Her form was no longer surrounded by the fog.
Cobalt looked concerned.
Indigo tilted his head, resting it on a wall.

Leaf stepped forwards, her form free from the mist. She placed a hand on both of the their shoulders, the palms of her hands lighting a fresh green. I don't think this'll hurt, she said. But brace yourselves, just in case.
Aether gazed at her, surprised. She was a wolf? When her brother was a jackal? Was she adopted?
Cobalt nodded quietly and got ready.

Leaf closed her violet eyes. A rope of the glowing mist formed a loose circle around the three, pulling gently to Aether and Cobalt in a thin funnel of energy.
Aether grit his teeth. It didn't hurt, but it felt as if something was trying to pull him of the earth.
Cobalt's ear twitched.

A small tendril of mist shot away from the sphere, and wove its way to Indigo's cell. It attached to him as well.
Aether opened his eyes a little, looking at Leaf. I'll just look at her the whole time, he thought. Maybe it'll just distract me.
Cobalt was still bracing himself. He felt a small tug, but nothing else.
Indigo's eyes shot open, his back feeling washed in an icy cold. He tried to move his hands to feel what was there, but he could not move.
