He looks towards the bathroom door, listening for her.

She puts her hair in a singular braid and walks out, looking towards him and smiling.

He returns the smile, standing and walking over to her. He kisses her forehead, smiling down at her before walking into the bathroom and closing the door softly.

She stretches, walking over to the bed and sitting.

He sighs, leaning against the door. He missed having his mate, he wanted things to go back to how they used to be but he didn't want to rush things. He straightens up, turning on the water and getting in.

She yawns again, laying down. She'd realized how lonely she'd been in her big room, but with him here again, she would never have to be alone in a bed again.

He realized how close he was to giving up on his kingdom, his guards, his maids, his friends, his family, and himself. Now, with his mate back, he felt stronger than ever, he felt like he could take on the world.

She smiled, thinking about how happy she was being back here, contrary to all those years ago where she wanted nothing more than to be away from here. Away from him.

He gets out, his hair was fresh & clean. He dries it quickly, combing it back and looking at his scars in the full-length mirror. It was a horrid sight to see, scars draping his abdomen and legs, his back wasn't any better.

She turned over, facing the bathroom, seemingly waiting for him to get out. She'd like to think she wasn't, but she knew she was. And, not to mention she'd always slept better on her side.
