The whole situation between Knuckles and the snake seemed pretty one-sided to a casual viewer, but apparently the snake was "sassing" him, and Knuckles insisted that the reptile should "Knock it off or else". Eventually the snake slithered off and Knuckles shouted after it, "That's right! You better walk away!"
