No one seems to react. You watch as one by one the numbers on both sides of the battlefield decrease. You watch as Aquila the Eagle strikes towards the biggest shadow of all, then everything goes black. You find yourself back at the temple, but once again it's old. The chest lays open beside you, along with the empty glass bottle.

What do you do now?

Nothing in the temple seems to have changed, but there is writing on the walls. You blow the dust away to find runes carved into the stone, and they seem to radiate ancient magic. However, you can't read or understand them.

What do you do now?

You're looking for the answer, while information begins to stream into your head. Runes are learned by all mages in an advanced level, like a different language. It would take a while to learn runes, even if one had a large affinity for magic. Therefore, the quickest way to get the answer would be to ask for help.
