I grab it and look for a moist area near the river, worms would hide there, maybe they'll like that. I wonder what month it is(are there months?), maybe waterbugs will be about as well, fish seem to eat those where I come from.

You start to dig and soon manage to have 5 wiggly worms. It is around early Summer. You couldn't see any waterbugs in the faster water, but they may be in the small streams.

I decide to go with the more plentiful option and dig furrows for worms, thinking I can maybe get a jar and keep some for gardening purposes.

The worms sit in the Furrow for a bit, but they start to dig back underground.

I glower and pull them out of their holes, setting them on a tall rock(if there's one nearby) and set some more sticks on top of them.(if not I'll just pull them out and rip them into small chunks and fish)
