I quietly sit on the ground, several paces away from the small creatures. I lean against a nearby tree, loosening my scarf and turning my eyes to the sky, not wanting to wake them with watching eyes. As I stare upward into the heavens, I quietly lose myself in thought.

I decide to start with the most pressing question I have.
"Is there any way that I may protect my prince better when I return home? It is my job and my wish to make see him live to rise as a great king," I say to them.

(If this clashes with his backstory, let me know. I'm just making this up on the spot.)
The creature's mind remains connected to yours so you manage to catch snippets of the discussion it was having with it's kin. -don't know if I can tell him-

Fine. I'll speak to him then.
Nearly a whole hour passes before a different creature speaks. Their voice is softer, with an extra little trill to each word that makes it sound somewhat like a songbird. "Your prince will be in great danger. There are others that strive to steal the throne from him using trickery and magic. If you leave now to save your prince, you will be killed, or gravely injured." They hesitate, as if unsure whether to tell you the last piece of information. "There is a way to foil their plans," They finally say. "I know of a... Someone who can help you. She is not friendly though, and may not welcome you. If you wish to save the prince, you must find her, regardless of the danger. Without her help, your kingdom will fall into chaos."

I nod solemly.
"I feared of this. Thank you, wise ones. I will save my final question for if we ever meet again, but I do wish to know how to find this person. I have a certain disregard for my own safety, and I do not mind if injury comes to me, as long I can safely know that my prince will rise to the throne. Tell me, wise ones, where does this woman lie?
