"Who else?" Hazel wondered.

Brandon took a cup of that, patting Scarlet on the head for thanks. Matamba rumbled something about how she could of gotten the feather all by herself if it had really mattered.

(Maybe...the end of fall or something?)

Scarlet huffed.

"A friend of mine who I haven't seen in a long time her name was Mary," Ashia spoke, "she was from Amaya."

Brandon shrugged. 'Sorry.' Matamba huffed with the fox.

"You keep saying was. Did she pass on? Or...sorry, this might be a sensitive topic for you right now. I'll be quiet." And Hazel was.

Sparky was quietly listening to the conversation, making food for and giving food to the guests. He kept his thoughts to himself.

"It's alright she was a friend of my father's and yes she died during the Conqueror invasion," Ashia finished.

Scarlet looks up at Bradon again.

"Scarlet be pacient when we get to where we're going then you can work with them," Ashia sipped her apple cider, "Jackson maybe tomorrow morning before we leave I could give you some tips for archery permitted we are allowed to stay here for the night. I will pay for it of course."

"I'm sorry," Hazel said.

Brandon cocked his head at the fox. Matamba yawned, and stretched out to take a cat nap.

Jackson nodded briskly. "Of course...if you can afford it."

Sparky sighed. That man was a haggler, and Sparky wasn't ready to do more jobs. At the time, his hands were full. His tail flicked in annoyance for a brief second. He willed it to stay still and not be seen by the others. They didn't need to know about that.

Ashia had already spotted it, "Not your fault Hazel. How much for one room for one night for all of us? And keep in mind I will am more then willing to work for it that includes helping you with archery and improving your bond with Barnabus."

Justin helped, "Also do you trade in goods as well?"

Sparky laughed. "I can be called the 'jack-of-all-trades'. I do most anything I put my mind to do." He cleaned a table, and started sweeping the floor, moving to a slow waltz because he was lost in the world of music...again. Course, it didn't take much for him to stop imagining, and get down to business.

"Eh, about two dollars per animal, five per person." Jackson mumbled something else under his breath.
"I volunteer sleeping outside," that was Sparky.

"Fine by me," Ashia spoke, "even if the animals are in passive state?"

Jackson nodded. "Yes. And if they are in the stables, well, just pay about...one and a half dollars or some such."

"Why?" Hazel asked Sparky.
"Because he could gain seven dollars from me alone. I am technically parrt animal." He looked away before he could remember how it was with Spot, his used-to-be spirit animal.

"Okay I can handle that price for Sparky and the two horses. Twenty-three dollars is too much though but I do have something I think you might accept in return," Ashia got out a small rock that was shiny, "permitted you give me change."
