it illuminates the room and you can see it's a grey room, stone walls, floor, and ceiling and no visible way out.

Start running my hands along the walls and floor, checking for a hidden lever or exit of some kind

Mel grew slightly irrate at the slow opening of the door and decided to do something else, because the door would probably open somewhere in the next millennia. She turned around, and walked back to the 1s and 0s, and in her mind, began rearranging (or re-writing) them, giving the narrator a puzzle, but you don't have to do it lol.

(Awe. I was hoping for code cracking skillz)

Melody slowly makes her way into whatever was behind the door, her guard up. She had no fighting skills, but at least she could dodge whatever was going to come her way. She covered her lantern, blotting out enough light not to make her very obvious, but keeping out enough light so she could see.

you don't see anything however, you see something on the wall, near the floor, it looks like the outline of a door.
