Latte grabbed a bowl of the warm soup and smiled at Sunni. "Thanks for the soup, Sunni."
Sunni beamed. "You're welcome, Latte."

Eventually, they had made it to the orphanage. Daze grinned. "We're here."

The twins were eating the soup and bamboo sticks, and they noticed Tunnel. They smiled and waved at him. "Hi, there!"

Tunnel turned his blind gaze to them. He quickly looked away, and nervously shifted from paw to paw. His nose twitched as the smell of food wafted towards him. His belly growled, but he was unwilling to talk to someone or eat anything.

Tunnel twitched an ear, watching Toffee with his grey, blind eyes. He seemed jumpy, and everyone knew that a scared creature was always a dangerous one. But Tunnel was blind, and would be surprised if anyone thought of him as dangerous, even though he hated the thought.

"My name isn't 'bumpkin' its Tunnel," he hissed. "And I don't trust you guys. For all I know the food is poison!" The way Tunnel lashed his tail could be seen as unnerving to some. His claws kneaded the floor beneath him. "I'm not hungry anyway." But his belly begged to differ, and it growled. "Maybe a little hungry... but everyone else still should eat first." Eat Tunnel. You need food. A voice cried in Tunnel's head. Tunnel just ignored it.
