Toklo's eyes narrowed as he saw a fox running from a cave. Silently, he sneaked inside and saw 2 bears and a wolf family.

In the forest Shadow was exploring and he was now alone with pups since his mate had died. Now he was taking care of them and searched for refugees to take in.

Sneaking inside the cave, Toklo smiled as he saw a pile of mice. Stuffing all he could in his bags, there was soon only 7 left. Holding 4 in his arms and eating the other 3, he fled the cave and found a small hollow in a tree. Satisfied, he dropped his finds and started furnishing the hollow, even finding a small couch shaped rock and a piece of glass.

Shadow returned home to his son and daughter. "No luck." Shadow said taking out a puny rabbit. "No people and I couldn't find many prey." He placed the rabbit on the floor and let his kids eat it.

Toklo looked proudly at his ragged home. He made a small mirror, though the reflection wasn't clear. The couch had been placed facing a picture he had made from water paint. The pillows were just rags stuffed with grass and leaves and the occasional feather. The bed was just a lumpy mattress with a few rags on top. The only normal looking part of the house was his kitchen, which he had spent extra time making. He sighed and chopped up the mice, making a broth.

The kids ate but sadly the rabbit wasn't much and they still were starving. Shadow sighed and went outside and collected some healthy leaves that could curb their hunger. The nibbled on the leaves and Shadow got ready the bed and other items and blocked up the den. Damen lit a torch and placed it in it's holder on the wall. The torch was their only source of light. They blocked up the den since being weak from lack of food so they could avoid attacks. Shadow was the thinnest since he feed his kids first before eating but usually there wasn't enough for him to eat after his kids ate.
