The men in this little village seem to be physically unable to not glare at women, because he's still doing it.
The older lady is appreciative, though. She doesn't say anything, but she gives her a kind nod and a smile when given her food. She also moves so that Mono can comfortably sit next to her by the fire.

Mono doesn't understand why they have fire in their home when they have a personal heater outside, but she doesn't question it. Mono sits down next to the lady, staring at the wall for no particular reason.

The desert gets freezing cold when it's night. Though, beaches don't do the same (I don't think so anyways?) so it makes sense Mono wouldn't know. The lady is calmly painting- the details on the pot are beautiful and intricate, though still wet.

You wouldn't think a desert of all places would be cold, even at night. Anyways, Mono watches the lady paint, awed by her work.

(It's because sand reflects temperature! It essentially means that sunlight will cause extreme heat because the sand doesn't have many plants to take some of the temperature, but it also can't regain temperature well so when the sun goes down it loses all of it because no plants are keeping it stable)
She's clearly skilled at it. The brush is fine and small, allowing for tiny details.

(I actually didn't know that! Thanks for explaining)
Mono simply watched her paint, inspecting the pot while she did.

(Yeah! I'm not completely sure I explained the science correctly because it's been a while, but I do have a rough idea)
It's a rounded pot with a bit of a large bump at the lid. It's handle has a swirl in it.

After Mono got the general idea of what the pot looked like, she went back to looking at a wall.

It's made from sandstone bricks and held together with dried mud and clay. Some of the bricks are cut a little rough, but overall it's skillfully made.

~Hey Nue, what era is this?~ Mono asked, pretty sure Nue could hear her because of earlier.
