The squishy creature below you slowed, quivered like a jelly, and started to contract. The narrator is giving you a few seconds to think 'uh oh'.

The creature quivered again, and suddenly expanded like a balloon. Since it was bouncy, everything, you, the lupora, River, the griffin, all got catapulted straight into the sky.

She curled up before reaching out to the lupora to hang onto it and break it's fall

The griffin managed to grab you all and toss you guys onto its back. It made and alarmed sound, and you realized in the air behind you is an army of mechanical creatures, clicking angrily.
(You know who it is! >.< Let's welcome them back into your storyline!)
