Her vision is clearing up. They're in a desert, by some kind of quarry. There's some sort of metal in the rocks. Iron, from the look of it- the lady named Bukhali is chipping away at it with a pickaxe of the same material. The heat from the sand makes everything a bit blurry, but she can see a small cluster of houses not too far off.

~A...Mining field? In the desert?~ Mono looked around in awe, wondering why anyone would make people work out here in the hot sun just for some Iron that could be found in a cave.

"Let's get you some more water." The woman, whose name she is yet to learn, gently squeezes her hand, tugging her lightly in the direction of the houses.

Mono let herself be pulled along, continuing to look around the place.

It's mostly just desert. It's empty, and feels really lonely- she can't see anything other than the quarry and the small houses.

Mono sighed, continuing to go with the unnamed girl.

It's a bit of a walk, made far more unpleasant by the fact this society apparently doesn't wear shoes despite the hot sand, but as they get closer she can see the houses are centered around an oasis, with cool well-trodden grass instead of sun-beaten sand.

~At least there's an oasis here and not just more sand.~ Mono thought, still following the girl.

They soon reach it. The grass is soft under her feet, and cool from the shade of the few trees growing around it. There's only about 6 houses here- calling this place even a village would be exaggerating its size. But, it feels familiar- this must be Inyosi's home.

Mono sighed in relief since there was no more hot sand burning her toes off. Mono looked around at the houses, wondering which one 'Inyosi' lived in.
