Oris stress levels were starting to be dangerously high between how mutch extra work he was doing to ignore the false threat that his senses were identifying with Maddy around and his wories about the night, he realy didn't neaded the extra stress of the little princess deciding that now was a good time to get eaten so she could read her book. In any other situations he woudn't have said anything, but right now there was too mutch on him right now and he coudn't cope with it anymore causing his temper to realy go out of hand. " Lissen up right now you special snowflake, if we stop here we will die, that's not a maby, that's a garentee. I am busting my a** here so we can have somwhat of a protection against ambush predators and all you did so far was to cause drama and eat candies witch are, may i remind you, a perfect bait to attract most big creatures that live here. So, if you wanted to read so bad you just had to say it when we first arrived, you know, when i tryed to be nice and not let you behind."

Virgil sighed at Oris words and covers Kalib's ears when a curse word was said. Virgil just shakes his head and looks around the clearing.

Grey likes Oris already. "You read my mind," he mutters under his breath.

She winced at his insults, she just stayed quiet "i didn't know....i never been a leader before- gimme a break" she said quietly and hurt also "you be leader then" she muttered "since im not doing it correctly" she said throwing her hoodie over her head and going a few paces behind the group , she was trying her best but nothing seemed to be working so she just gave up, she placed her book back in her bag and put her hands in her pockets, and if he knew her correctly she couldn't even hurt a fly, but she refused to tell anyone that or anything at all

At Oris' harsh and accusatory tone, even though it isn't aimed at him, Kalib finds himself bristling and feeling verbally attacked. He huddles closer to Virgil putting his hands over his ears as well as Virgil's hands to calm himself down. Kalib looks up at Virgil and then back to Oris and Grey and then over to Maddy. "Help?" He whispers to Virgil quietly.

You hear Grey mutter something like 'I can't believe that guy's my counterpart' under his breath.

He sigh trying to get his stress level under control once more but only bearly managing to do so, they realy neaded to get to the settlement as fast as possible for everyone sake. He already had a big role when it came to the security of the team, having even more responsability on his back was beyond unhealty for someone who already strugled with stress without it but he felt too drained to argue about it at the moment. " Let's just ... let's just go alright."

Virgil hearing Kalib and starts to comb Kalib's hair. Virgil shoot a weak glare at Grey for muttering about Kalib being his counterpart. Virgil sighed and starts to hum to calm his nerves and stress. Virgil looks around to see any danger that might be there. Virgil took a sec to put his scythe on his back and resumes to pet Kalib's hair to calm him.

Since Kalib didn't have any clear proof on what Grey said, he decided to hope that he heard it wrong and try not to let what he thought Grey said hurt him. He agrees with Oris on moving on, though he felt bad for not siding with Maddy. He tried to make sure everyone had a say in things, but that's occasionally hard when others don't listen to him anyways. Kalib thanks Virgil for putting up with him and rests his head gently against the other harbinger. Who cares if Grey didn't like Kalib; Kalib felt that the excuse of Grey being his counterpart is excuse enough.
"I, uh... I can be a look out if you want to give your powers a break, Oris. I'm good at climbing trees and if I keep close to you guys and keep an eye and ear out, I should be able to spot things." Kalib says. He really doesn't want people to go into a fight already worn out and he offered his service in an attempt to help.
