Roxanne and Klover both picked their way over to me. Klover looked at Ace with curious eyes meanwhile Roxanne just gave him a small nod and gestured to my shoulder where my other bow hung. "This is Klover, one of my half-sisters." I said while handing my bow over.

The honey-blonde talking to Hayden was nervous, and a little annoyed. Klover was... well, as unreadable as ever, her normal chill tinged with a bit of confusion but that was quickly replaced by realization. "Oh ! Your uhhhh, Ack-....uh, Ace? Right? Your kind of notorious for those trinkets you supply the Hermes cabin with..." She held out her hand politely.

Footsteps alerted Reuvan of approaching campers and-- well speak of the devil and they shall appear. Lyeza stepped out into the clearing, whistling at the damage as she took it all in. "Looks like the Trouble Trio came through here." she remarked grinning toothily- her twin brother Luka stood next to her and was thankfully a little less insensitive. "I'm going to get Chiron..." he muttered lowly, disappearing into the forest just as quickly as he came. He and Roxanne would be an excellent ghosting-duo.

"Aconitum," Ace says with a crooked smile, "but you can call me Ace if y'like. It's a pleasure, I'm sure." He shakes Klover's hand briefly before giving her and her awkwardly held sword an appraising look, "Hm, you'll need better than that..." Trailing off thoughtfully, Ace taps his uninjured fingers against his chin, staring off into the trees. A young hellhound appears at his side for some unfathomable reason and proceeds to lick worriedly at his burned hand, not that Ace appeared to notice.

Klover-

I was about to protest, 'Better than...' than what??? Anything vaguely dangerous I touched either got broke or got someone stabbed (and not the bad guys). But the shaggy dog at Ace's side stops me. What the ffffu---

Lyeza cooed next to me (when did she get there???) reaching out to pet the grayish-brownish dog. "Awwwww aren't you sweet." she babied as she scratched behind its ear. The sound of uneven footsteps alerted Reuvan next to me, who took a few steps away from our little group and towards the sound-- he seemed a little nervous.

Chiron trotted {?} out into the clearing, grimacing at the rancid burning smell, much of camp followed him- including each cabin counselor. I waved to Alex and he gave a little wave back- sheepish smile on his face as his eyes kept darting nervously to the steaming puddles of green. Hayden appeared next to me suddenly and I startled however slightly. Was everyone but me a ninja???

He immediately started explaining to Chiron what had happened while the other campers started to explore the wreckage-- Reuvan stood next to Hayden. An Apollo girl came up to us asking if we were hurt at all.

Roxanne-


Luka followed me around silently as I inspected the ant corpses carefully. I wanted to make sure they were all dead. He only gave a cursory glance at each corpse before moving after me. A small squeak came from my left-- my half-sister Kendra stumbling down a hill towards me.

"Ah--- Roxanne! Are you okay?" she asked in a soft worried tone. Her deep brown eyes wide and questioning, her chocolate skin flushed, bouncy black curls wrapped up in cute little pink bows. I sighed-- it was hard not baby her sometimes. Too naive. I gave her a smile that I hoped was reassuring. "I'm fine."

{Kendra : }

Roxanne huffed, cutting the portion of sleeve that got soaked in acid off. She dumped the rest of the jacket unceremoniously into Hayden's arms before marching away again to finish her inspection. Her sister Kendra trailed ditzily along, Luka had disappeared again only to end up back right next to his sister.

Reuvan got some kind of burn cream applied to his leg and a pinch of ambrosia for the scrape and fatigue. It tasted like whipped cream for him. Ace also got looked at by an Apollo camper, his hand probably being the worse injury out of all of them, Ace handed back Reuvan's quiver- and Reuvan took a cautious seat near the edge of the clearing. Chiron hadn't asked for him yet, and he wasn't going to waste time standing around. He took the new bow off his shoulder, picking at the small bits a pieces carefully. Reuvan would bet money that there was some secret button that made the arrows flaming or something like that. It *was* Ace. The whole Hephaetus cabin was basically bat****** crazy anyway.

Chiron was in a deep conversation with the counselors. Poor Alex looked like he was on the verge of running away.

Teddy sidled up next to Ace to watch the proceedings. He nudged his half-brother with his elbow, leaning in a bit to whisper, "I don't suppose you got to test the ah, thing, did'ja?"
"Who do you think I am?" Ace says, tilting his head back with a smirk, "Accusing me of takin' advantage of a crisis to run experiments, for shame."
A slow grin spreads on Teddy's face, "Worked like a damn charm, then. I told you it'd be brilliant, didn't I!"

Nearby, another Hephaestus camper--Hartley--approaches Reuvan and peers curiously over his shoulder at the bow, "You figure out all the features yet?"

Reuvan-

I jumped very nearly smacking Ace's annoying sibling with my new bow. It was probably good that I hadn't-- the puddle of green goop behind us didn't look very forgiving. "No." I said a little uncooperatively. Whatever the bow was made out of was light, but much different than wood, it seemed harder too. "Did you design this?" I asked a little more politely- having got over my initial annoyance at being snuck up on.

Roxanne-

Kendra's nervous ramblings very easily became white noise-- not that she noticed. I was poking an ants decapitated body with a stick when I heard her stop. Out of the corner of my eye I saw her stiffen as Cypress passed by her silently. His abnormally green eyes bore down on me expectantly and I acknowledged his superiority with a small bow of my head. The Aries Cabin counselor loosened up however slightly at this familiar gesture. I couldn't blame him for being such a tightass sometimes, the Aries Cabin was full of half-crazed gremlins....not that he couldn't be awful in his own right.

"Six enemies eliminated. One had found us first and had backup ready nearby. One was quickly put down by an exploding arrow, another by a grenade. Hayden and I took care of two. Ace and Reuvan put down another and the last was killed by a Tyche girl who showed up on scene after-" I got up and brushed my pants off, then pointing at the steaming tree "- that tree fell. Hayden has a sore wrist, Ace burned his hand with acid, and Reuvan got a little scraped up. Nobody died, and nobody was severely injured. The Apollo campers are making rounds right now."

He nodded, accessing the damage with a critical eye. Very slowly he said "It will be awhile before anything can grow here..." I nodded along sympathetically, understanding what he was getting at. He sighed then straightened back up- just as put together as before. "Thank you for your report, Roxanne." He said formally.

"Of course." I replied softly as he left, dipping my head once even if he had already turned away.


He smacked some peeping Aries kid on the head as he went.
