The heating system lets out the gas even faster now. The whole room is now filled with gas. A few seconds later a resounding boom can be heard as the gas in the room explodes. The explosion blows up the power panels and all the electricity goes out. All mechanical doors and locks open. Now is our chance.

Boreal

Hearing the explosion Boreal bolts for the door. The lights go out but she is undeterred. Her night vision is superb. The door slowly opens and she races into the hallway. She had been wanting to see what was outside this prison. Now she might get to see it.

W01F leapt from his bed,this was his chance to get out,or at least find somewhere other than this room.Hearing the hissing of gas still he peered out of the doorway.

Mirage hobbled out of her room, clutching her side, and decided to explore a bit.

Groups of the guards fumbled with locks and lights as there were frantic, futile efforts to put the facility back into lockdown. Things were suddenly eeriely quiet after the explosion outside the noises of scattering subjects and armored guard boots suddenly picking up after them. Some tried their radios to the same futile result. It was quickly becoming chaos as shouted commands between guards picked up, relaying information faster than most could coherently follow.
A sort of chaos a certain guard had been waiting for all day. Now if only she had that rifle, peh.. She'd have to push through to the armory. She kicked at the side of a doubled over mothman who had been reeling at the sound of an explosion still ringing in his delicate antennae and offered her hand to help him up.

"Doc, you might wanna get out of here. It's gonna get real messy and you ain't lookin' too hot, no offense. Wouldn't be surprised if someone got you mixed up with one of the subjects at this rate and gunned ya down."

Doc groaned, picking himself off the ground slowly with her help, his eyes quickly adjusting to the dark environment. "N-No. I understand the risks, but I cannot let any harm come down to the subjects here. We cannot lose all our research now."

"Then you better buckle up and stay by my side, it's gonna be one heck of a ride from here on out. I hear you start gripin' about the way I'm doing my job now, I'll put a few in you too for good measure."

"Fine. Give me one of your tasers." He frowned, holding a hand out expectantly.

"What? No way, Jose-.." She paused and frowned under her helmet at the seriousness of his expression. After a reluctant second or two, Jen unholstered one of her two taser guns and pressed it into his hand. "You know how to use it, right?"

"Yes. Don't worry. Let's get going."

She nodded and took off in the direction of the ward's armory, desperately hoping there was still enough ammo and a gun left to grab.

Boreal snarled, leaving behind the scientist in the room and sliding into the halls. She misjudged how slippery the tile floors were and rammed into a wall, causing a few empty crates to fall on her. She looked a bit dazed but shook it off, continuing to run down the hallway.

She set her mind on Kora. She wanted to make sure her sister was alright.

Boreal turned a corner, headed for where Kora was kept when she practically runs into the fuming guard from earlier and doc. She backs up a bit, snapping her beak together as a warning. She just needed to know if Kora was alright.
