Eva nodded patting her stomach. "Lunch would be great." Nathaniel and Natalie nodded. As Nathaniel followed Scarlet back, he took mental notes to see how much of the terrain he remembered just in case he needed it sometime.

Lionel walked behind everyone.. he needed some time to himself. He hated that damned bridge..

Scarlet continued to walk, leading them back to where they started, and then to a nearby sandwich shop.

Nathaniel noticed the small change but didn't comment on it, he was sure Lionel had a reason, and now definitely did not seme like a good time to pester for the reason he shook his head as he remembered a similar location back at his own home. Eva smiled and said, cutting into his train of thought. "Nice, food finally."

" Come on, lets head inside! " She said, as Lionel went over and held the door open for everyone. Scarlet excitedly ordered a BLT, and Lionel went over to counter with another cashier, and started speaking in Italian. "Ciao Fratello! Non ti vedo da settimane, com' la famiglia? Posso avere l'ususali che ottengo? " The man nodded, and replied to him in Italian, and went off to prepare what was a.. monster of a sandwich. " I'll pay. " Lionel said, but then the man returned with the sandwich and said, " No fratello, this is on the house. You and your friends eat free. "

( Hello Brother! I've not seen you in weeks, how's the family? May I have the usual I get? )

Eva grinned, "Thanks so much." she said as she also ordered a BLT sandwich, and both of the twins ordered a chicken sandwich. "Is this your families store?" Eva asked.

Lionel took his sandwich and sat with Scarlet, who was eating it very carefully. She didn't want to ruin her dress. At the mention of family, though, Lionel turned pale.. his eyes almost seemed to water. " No, my families dead. We met each other at the orphanage. We decided we were family. "

Eva's eyes went wide. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." she said. Eva was a sympathetic crier and usually she didn't like upsetting people unless it was on purpose, so her eyes started to water too. Natalie nodded, "We're sorry too." she said speaking for both her and her brother. Nathaniels stoic face didn't change, but somewhere he felt a pang of sympathy for Lionel as he imagined what would happen if Natalie ever died.

Lionel gave a weak, faltering smile. He didn't let himself cry for his family, nor did he really let himself feel.. he was a man, men weren't allowed to cry. It's what his father taught him and he sure as hell believed it. " Now there isn't a reason to feel sorry.. they are in a much better place now. Rather it there then here, overworking themselves for a loaf of bread. " He laughed a bit, it was a hallow, fake laugh. Scarlet sighed softly, " Yeah, don't worry about him. He doesn't like it. "

( Okay so I am a heartless idea maker.. So remember how Eva is going to die? Well... Eva is still going to die from a bullet wound after this sandwich shop gets bombed. )

Oh lovely, lovely. Love it whenever sandwich shops get bombed but you die from a bullet wound xD)

Nathaniel dipped his head noting to Eva and Natalie to let the matter drop. He knew what it was like to stay tough so he didn't pry any further. Instead he finished his sandwich. Nathaniel, as was his custom examined the other diners of the shop carefully eavesdropping into their conversations as was his custom. Eva looked like she wanted to say something else sympathetic but held it in.

Lionel carefully ate his sandwich, it seemed to have a lot of meat in it, and less vegetables. He somehow finished the monster of a sandwich within around 5 minutes, and yet he stayed completely clean. Scarlet was always amazed at how he could eat so much so quickly. She then teased, " If you continue to eat like that you're going to need go on runs more often. " Lionel glared daggers at her and said, " Ever take a look in the mirror? " And they continued to tease each other. An older couple at another table were saying what a cute couple they were.. they hadn't heard, they were too busy being mean to each other.
