And I have a question that could make my life either easier or harder. If there is a carried trait between both parents, will it definitely show up on the offspring or only maybe?

If I remember rightly, it could either be visible or carried as well, it just increases the chances of it being visible.

It might. According to this guide https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=370, the chance of a trait like that becoming visible on a first-generation offspring is 25%.

There isn't a design contest going on here right now, since it just finished. However, we hold weekly ones so check back Monday and hopefully a new one will be up by then. If you want to design though, there are several contests going on for that right now!
