It yelps as you pat its head softly and playfully bounds up and down making it difficult to get a better look at its tag. You pat it again and manage to get a hold of the small tag reading 'Nix'.On the other side it read 'Property of Edward Reyes'. Edward Reyes? He was probably the owner of this small cottage.
Should you go look for him?

You pick up Nix and keep him in your arms as you walk quickly over to the open door. You glance inside, but no one jumps out at you. So, you knock on the door frame rather violently. If anyone was home they would definitely hear it! Barking erupted from another room and seconds later a man rushed out. A fox similar to the one in your hand trailing behind him, but it had wings?
"H-Hello?"
He asked rather shakily.
What should you do?

Umm..
I've come to return this Nixi?
It looks like the child of the Nixi over there(the one with wings)
You clutch the small fox creature closer to your chest and Edward only blinks a few times, looking rather confused and someone afraid of you. He bows his head down slightly and blinks more.
"S-Sorry! I could s-swear he was in his b-bed, you see I lost my glasses and I r-really can't see anything..."
He stumbles over his words and reaches out in your general direction hoping for you to pass little Nix to him. You place it gently in his hands. He brings it back to his chest and pats it carefully.
He smiled seeming s bit more confident in speaking to you even if he continued to stumble over his words.
"Thankyou for understanding, he got that trait from his dad Zeno. T-They both like to cause trouble!"
The bigger fox - supposedly Zeno - barked twice upon hearing his name and sat down, his tongue lulling out to one side. Nix struggled free from Edwards arms and sat next to his dad Zeno mimicking his pose to the best of his ability.
Should you excuse yourself and be on your way or stick around?

"Ah, where did you come from? I'm assuming you're the Blue NyVene?" I say, smiling up at the creature.
Houses lined the streets below the Inn. A few signs caught your eyes 'Local Store', 'Sweet and Sour', 'Blacksmith' and 'Armoury'. A few other signs seemed to be written in a language that you didn't recognises, but it seemed somewhat familiar. A large lake sat in the far left of the small town and trees surrounded the entirety of it.
A strange growl like noise sent your attention to the sky. A small blue and purple dragon like creature sat on the roof gazing down at you. It whistled at you and ducked down onto the roof, its head stooping down to continue looking at you.
What should you do?
