The Story:
One morning I woke up to water dripping on my nose, I opened my eyes, but then water dripped into my third eye, "Ugh, having a third eye isn't that great as it seems." I groaned, I got up and stretched, the purple scales covering my body was wet. I yawned, some of my purple hair fell into my third eye, I shut my third eye before my hair could get into my eye. I opened my third eye and saw a girl with a box of donuts, I brushed my hair away from all my eyes, "Morning, Val." I said quietly as my tail swung side to side, "Hey Liz." the girl said, she walked up to me and set the box of donuts on the top of a sturdy box, "So, are you gonna come?" the girl asked, I shook my head, "Not when I have purple scales, a tail, and a third eye." I said. Val put on a thinking face, "You could hide your third eye with your hair, you could hide your tail in your pants, and you could pretend you scales are scale socks and gloves." she said, I nodded, "OK, but what about your mom?" I asked, "Don't worry, my mom is blind, so no need for you to worry about her seeing you." Val said I nodded, "OK, but I'm gonna need new clothes and a bath." I said. Val nodded, "Got it, tomorrow is Sunday so later today I'll bring you some clean clothes and water to clean up a bit." Val said I nodded looking down at the rags I wore, "Oh, and I'll bring Flash my Golden Retriever." she said, "Wait, you have a dog?" I asked, "What about my tail, Flash will rip it off at first sight." I said Val shook her head, "Nope, won't happen, Flash never bites, other than his food and toys nothing." she said with a smile. I nod, "OK, but if anyone finds out I'm blaming you." I said playfully, Val nodded and left. A half-hour later Val returned with Flash her Golden Retriever, clothes, and a bucket of water, I quickly washed off grime and dirt off of my skin, when I was done I put the clothes on but left the shoes off, "Liz, you gotta put the shoes on, if you don't and my mom finds out she won't be happy." Val said seriously, I sigh but put on the shoes, when I was done I stood up and looked down at myself, I was wearing mainly purple clothes with black swirl designs, Flash trotted up to me and sat down, I squatted down and held out my hand, Flash sniffed my hand and then put his paw in my hand, I shook his paw, "Good dog." I said, at those words, Flash's tail started to wag, I smile and ruffle his head fur, "So tomorrow I get to meet your mom?" I ask Val nodded. I nod, "OK, well I'll be here." I said climbing up on the metal box, Val, and Flash leave. The next day Val came, I smiled, "Hey Val, I want to show you something." I said Val frowned, "But, don't you want to come to my place and get a bath?" she asked, I just smiled, Val smiled and walked up to me, "OK, but this better be quick." she said I nod and wrap my tail around her hips, I lift her into the air and bring out my claws, I climb the side of the building up to the roof. I set her down and she gaped at the view, at the edge of the city there was a deep forest, I smile, "What do you think?" I asked, my third eye was open and I saw a man pointing a gun at me, I wrap my tail around her waist and whispered, "There is a man behind us pointing a gun at us, we need to go now." Val turned her head and gasped when she saw the man, there was then a short popping sound and tranq darts were in my scaly tail, but one had hit Val's arm, I immediately started running and jumped multiple rooftops till I came to the forest, I jumped into a tree and jumped from tree to tree till I came to a cave, I darted in and went to the very back and tried to make myself as small as possible. When I was running I hadn't noticed that my entire body had covered in scales and little horns popped out, as if I had gone into protection mode. After about 20 minutes the man came running by the cave just as Val started to wake up, the man kept running by and didn't stop, Val was about to say something but I covered her mouth before she could, I put a finger to my lips, a sign to be quiet, Val nodded. Ever since we have been on the run from the man who hunted us. |
