"It's fine," Darrian whispered back peeking out from behind the boulder then ducking as a beam of light from a flashlight passed over their heads.

That was all Darrian needed to hear. Instantly she jumped out from behind their hiding spot and hurled herself at an official with the force of a mother elephant. She made sure to hide her eyes under her hair, assuming the boy would notice the solid yellow of them and freak out.

The people began taking notice of the person charging towards them, there were some confused murmurs, the shouting as she came closer, some people taking out tasers disguised as guns and threatened to shoot. Will took the chance to escape, though incredibly weakened from the crash, he managed to sneak far enough away to collapse and hide for a little while

Darrian thought fast. "Are you guys the government officials? I would like to report some extraterrestrial activity going on near the plateau." She lied panting and halting to a stop noticing the guns.

They all looked around nervously at each other, calling in on some radios. "Thanks, we'll go check it out, he's secured in the truck, right?" One guy called to the others, who confirmed what he said and nodded and they began leaving

Will could hear someone calling for him. He wasn't sure who it was, but he could tell that they were looking for him, and that he could probably trust them. He tried getting up, but due to injuries, just collapsed again under an overhang in a small ravine nearby. "H-help!" He weakly yelled
