You come apon a forest, a lake, and a cotton field. Which one to do you go to?

I head to the lake

"Why did you kill her? Why were you trying to kill me?"

The bandit laughs at you.

"Why else would I kill her? Do you think I would just randomly kill someone? I killed her so I could live here, and take her stuff, duh! A guy like me doesn't have a house. Now get me out of here!" he says roughly.

I don't release him yet. "What did you want to take?"

"Anything valuble, food, stuff I need, okay? Now let me go!" he says.

"Why should I let you go? You'll attack me," I remember the gold item the girl had held before. Should I take it with me?

The bandit looks at the floor then back up, he shrugs and grins, revealing yellow teeth, though he only has five of them.
You glance around. What do I do with him? Am I going to live here, or keep journeying, and if I do keep journeying, I should take everything valueble, and food, and any supplies I need. Why should I let it sit? At least this bandit wont get any of it.
But then I will be kinda like the bandit.......
No one else needs it!

The lake is shimmering under the sun, and Gascoigne sits down by the edge. You sit beside him.
Suddenly you hear footsteps. A young girl runs up to you from the forest. She looks very scared, and is out of breathe. She shoves a backpack in your lap.

"Dont let anyone have anything in there, keep it safe!" she says, then runs away.

Holding the backpack, you stand up and watch her disappear over a hill. Then you see a large Sylestian coming from the way the girl had come. He is fairly out of breathe. He is holding a sword.

"Did you see a girl?" he says roughly.

In panic, you nod and point the way the girl had gone. He runs that direction and disappears too.
Gascoigne is huddled between your feet.
You decide to leave before the man comes back. Do you go into the forest, around the lake, or into the cotton fields?

I decide to continue exploring. I'll take what I need and leave the bandit here. He'll find a way to escape, and I'll leave a few of his less dangerous weapons only.

I'll have to make sure he can't track my location with Midnight's footprints.
