"You coming slow poke?" Jane asked.

"Give me a second." Cian sighed slipping his armor back on and jogging out into the open. "So where to now?"

"Maybe we could go down to the river?" Jane said.

"The river? Sure, but for what reason?"

"Why should there be a reason?" Jane said.

"Cian if we have kids then one of us will have to take care of them....... and I think I will." Jane said.

"Jane..." He wrapped his arms around her in a hug. "You don't have to do that dear...you are lead hunter they need you out there. I'm a simple guard, my place can be filled."

"Are you sure?" Jane asked. "I don't think I could bare to see you treated like an omega........."

Amber stood up and took a deep breath. She picked up the rock and trotted towards the river. Going to her usual spot, a hidden cavity in a giant boulder, she sighed. This was the place she had truly grown up in. Memories and little knicks of all kinds were in here. The skull and fur tuft of her first kill, a beautiful long feather of her long dead friend, a stone carving of a deer with elegant horns and feathered wings, and so on. She went to the far corner, where she had multiple empty spaces. She put up the colored rock and went to the bed of straw she made. It was surrounded by roses and lilies, flowers she had dug up and planted there. They made a quiet atmosphere around there, and they made a pleasant smell. She curled up and soon fell asleep.

"One...two...three." The flute played a beautiful song as the rabbit played it. It was one of new life, of spring, of new growth. The small fire he had built seemed to dance in the light as he played. There was a cave nearby that he had planned on spending a few days in but it smelled of fox. No doubt the thing would come back to it. He had no fear though as he sang and danced about. Tonight was his night to be with the stars and moon.
