I abolished the rule on instant elimination. There were multiple users that didn't get their designs in on time. Not having the first design in will be a factor in who might be eliminated, but it won't be the deciding factor.
What about later rounds? Will there be instant eliminations for those who do not enter a design this round or future rounds? I don't think it is fair to those who dedicated time and effort into submitting a design for the first round. When you sign up for a contest, especially knowing that it will take a lot of time, you should be prepared to spend said time in the contest... not sail through doing nothing.
Just a concern of mine...

I'm keeping track of everything on an Excel spreadsheet. People who don't submit a design have an empty cell. People who put time and effort into submitting will have full cells. I've both hosted and participated in contest similar to this on different SIM sites. Sometimes even the most dedicated of contestants will be unable to submit a design.
Given the way that the contest it set up and scored, I don't think it's unfair to let those who haven't submitted a design to keep on until the next elimination round.

This will be an elimination round. This is your last chance to submit a quality design on time to save yourself from elimination.
Before I move on to assignments, I've decided there's going to be a change in distribution of prizes. Pets are now going to be distributed in a Bachelorette type fashion (think of the pets as roses, and you only get one if you progress). I don't have enough Un-named to do this every round, but I will buy as many Philters of Amnesia as I can, and will send you one if you end up with a named. If I run out of Philters, and you get a named pet, PM me and I'll make a note to get you a Philter as soon as I can.
On to assignments...... In honor of the revamp last night, everyone will be designing Morkkos! Have fun playing with the new bear genes. You have until 11:59p on Friday, February 12 to get your designs in. You must use all colors on the palette listed. You cannot leave any colors out, brighten/darken the colors, add any new colors in, or recolor the pattern.
I'll take anywhere from a few days to a week to judge the designs, and PM everyone feedback on all designs submitted.
