The series takes place on the Discworld, which is a flat world that rides through space on the back of a giant turtle. Sir Terry Pratchett was my favorite author of all time, and he died (far too young) early this year. His Discworld books, both the ones about Tiffany Aching and the others, can make you laugh out loud and get all choked up--sometimes on the same page.
You are in for a treat. And Tiffany is an awesome heroine.

Oh wow sounds like such a weird and interesting adventure. I can not wait to start it (once i finish my Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands) Pretty interesting so far I just started it's about vampires and this doctor is trying to help one with her fear of blood.
