Nethimir squinted her eye to see what was happening, making sure to stay in pace with Nila.

As they approach, they can see someone half trapped in the sand, partly stuck in the odd dune. She clearly is unable to get out, though she seems a bit... disproportionally scared by it. It's definitely not fun to get stuck in there, but surely it shouldn't warrant this much fear.


Nila, however, seems equally worried as the person stuck, immediately hurrying over to help with clear urgency.

Nethimir stops, confused, and wondering why they were so scared. She decided to keep her distance in case whatever was over there was dangerous, and they knew that.

Nila starts trying to pull the person out.

The dune shifts a little. But, that's probably just from Nila pulling on the person stuck.

Nethimir stayed in her spot, growing slightly concerned for the two.

The sand then moves. Rapidly, almost like water. It curls and moves, wrapping tighter and around more of the person trapped.

Which isn't exactly ordinary sand behavior.

Nethimir decided to go over and help Nila get the person out, her hood falling off as the ran over.

The sand seems to sense her presence, because it tightens further around the person trapped. It also pulls, forcefully tugging her further into the sand.

The dune shifts more. Its movements are almost like a snake's, and it's starting to look more snakelike too.

Nethimir growls, and puts a hand to her chest. Her 3 hearts appeared, and a claw-like shadow arm appeared where the stub was. Nethimir grabbed the person with the arm, tugging forcefully to get them out.

With a slight pop, the person tumbles out of the sand. She's a mer, like them- a jellyla. Her bottom half is injured, with thousands red dots peppering the area- like sand.


The sand, clearly, doesn't like that. It moves quickly, lashing out almost like a tidal wave, towards the three.
