The war hadn't even lasted half a decade. The conquerors were too advanced, too numerous for even the best efforts of the Alamour. The Battle of Werhindr. A devastating loss. The Battle of Oeram. A win, but a bloody one. It went on and on and on. As Akila had promised, hundreds of thousands were killed. But the worst part was that Vyrhys' people had stayed faithful to him the whole way through. They never questioned his authority, never tried to rebel or overthrow him. All the way to the

battle.
Everyone had died.
Everyone except Vyrhys.
And Akila had nearly ended him too.
Vyrhys touches the long scar on his neck, shuddering as he recalled the events of that horrible night.

Take the Velin. Akila is spitting mad. She only ever uses the Xcelis, even for the highest bounties.

Quwala

She finished her tea and waited for Ella to finish.

Kyros

"Right, I'll grab my weapons, then we can kill these idiots."

she got up throwing her stuff in her bag "lets go!" she smiled happily

Akila takes only her finest weapons and gear. She isn't taking any chances when it comes to killing Vyrhys Xyydr.....

Vyrhys
The battle had no name. There was no-one left to name it. Vyrhys had fought as hard as possible, but it was obvious this was the Conquerors' final blow. Wyrynn fought alongside him, and though he seemed young and green, he was exceptional on the battlefield. And yet.... he must have died right there, along with everyone else.
Vyrhys never got to say goodbye.
Akila managed to corner Vyrhys, dealing a near-mortal wound. He went down, but Wyrynn came up behind the squadron and started taking them down. Vyrhys blacked out.
He woke up alone on a starship, hurtling through the vast recesses of space.
And that was the end of the beginning.

Quwala

She started walking Ella back to the guest house. On the way, so tried on her red earrings. They suited her.

Kyros

She was ready and she boarded the ship, bag full of grenades.

She smiled "pretty earrings" she said opening the door for her and walking in after her "were back!" she announced there arrival

She boarded after Kyros, muttering angrily.

He sighs and stands up. It's been nearly a century since then. I need to get over it, he tells himself harshly. But he knows he can never forget.....
