I quickly snatch it out of the water, then dropping it on a large flat rock. That can't spread on that, can it?

Tyvern Villager: We're trying to be carefull, since they say something weird's going through the ground of the Forest right now, infecting the plants and everything. Most of our herbs and water supply is near infected areas. That's why more people than ever are rushing to Nesryt in trading season, to get fresh supplies from other Realms.
What do you do now?
I tap my leg "Infection doesn't just come, there's always a reason behind it. Something tells me it could be to do with water, since that feeds everything around. Do you know where the main 'infected' place is?"

You explore the area, but suddenly, everything is back to normal again. You:
1) Keep following the map
2) Ask Kuae what does he think about the shift
3) Try to figure out what happened

To your surprise, the flames come to life. The creature before you evaporates and leaves behind an intricate metal scale. There's still one more. Sensing its companion's death, it swims swiftly towards you.

Something almost like a dark liquid is seeping out of the fish, but it also looks like smoke or a dark mist. While part of it trickles out, the other part seems to float away.
What do you do now?

Tyvern Villager: I'll show you.
He takes you to a large pond in the middle of the Forest. The water here is once again murky and dark. The nearby wildlife have all withered and died.
