Cobalt reappeared in another flash of light, exactly where the first flash had been. He frowned. 'That's strange,' he said. 'I should be able to get to that area that Sonic's in.' He pulled the orb out again, checking its settings for the location. He shook his head, confused. 'At least that wasn't the only job. I know I saw that other jackal...' his voice trailed off as he saw Zero and Nox walking around the floor of the canyon in the distance, towards him. He hid behind a rock, hoping he wouldn't be seen from below.

Cobalt continued to watch the two walk, slowly dragging out his blade. Placing his hand on the stone to steady himself, he cautiously leaned over the edge to look.

Ajal did what Sonic told him not to do and tried to get away from the hedgehog, luckily for Sonic Ajal was still recovering from his latest beat down.
