The creature seems to weigh a ton, and it's reptilian eyes follow your movements. You see a movement behind you, and it's tail knocks your legs out from under you.

Sitting down so I can hug him to my body, I pet him after I gently rest the egg down. I will make sure nothing happens to either of you. I mean, I kind of think of you as my child, because, who wouldn't. Plus, everyone brags about having cute kids, but you are plain adorable, I will protect you and the eggling. Even if it costs my life in the process. Smiling at him kindly I say " I'm not rushing you! I'm sure it's a big thing for a dragon to breathe fire, so when that time comes, I will make sure to at least try and catch whatever animal you prefer!" I look around the cave, and realize my eyes have gotten used to the darkness.
