"That's sad. Maybe we could knock some sense into that fate." she said cheerfully.

She purred softly, stretching out and putting her paws and head in his lap before falling properly asleep

He soon fell asleep as well. He lay there peacefully.

It was almost too long before Shiv picked up on two more new scents, likely unnoticed at first due to the shift in the wind. One was of yet another vampire, and the other smelling a bit like a bird, but also strangely human. He wasn't familiar with such a scent, but both smelled slightly of blood, though stale. He quietly began to follow the scents, keeping his distance so he would not alert them to his presence when he drew nearer. He'd focus on actually seeing them when he was certain that he wouldn't be spotted.

As he drew nearer to the source of the two scents, he shifted his coat of fur into one of long feathers, quickly fluffing them up to hide his spines. He kept himself hidden for now though, slowly drawing nearer in hopes of getting a glance of his prey. He had learned by now that one's scent didn't tell you how large the owner was, and he had learned that the hardway a few years ago. He shifted away from the wind in case the vampire could possibly pick up on his own scent, remaining as silent as possible. These two weren't having a conversation like the previous group, which made it much harder to sneak up without being heard.

He eventually caught sight of the two at a distance. The one with the unfamiliar scent appeared human, but had featgers, talons, and wings like a bird. They were sleeping, though it didn't look to restful as sleep normally was, but Shiv's focus was not supposed to be on the bird-man. He turned and looked at the vampire. Her tan skin instantly made her a half-breed, though of what her other half was, he didn't know. Like a young half-breed, she didn't appear regal or formal, but that didn't make her dangerous. She looked like she was watching the other person, running her hand through their hair.

Good, she was distracted, but that didn't mean she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. Shiv cautiously drew closer, once again concealing himself beind trees and bushes. He wanted to get as close as he could before he pounced, well aware of the enhanced abilities a vampire could have. He ended up being so focused on the half-breed that he became careless. He misstepped, snapping a twig, and left with no other choice than to lunge at the half-vampire, hoping he had gotten close enough to catch her by surprise.

Iris~
"That's awful," Iris stopped her walking for a moment, "Have you ever thought of making or finding a new home? Well, a more permanent one?" She couldn't be too much help with making a home like a normal human's, but she could at least protect Fang if he were to make one. She brought this up, "I might not be much help in making one, but I can protect you if you'd like to make one."

(Gotta love the contrast between what I wrote for these two. I can't write long posts once I finally start having interactions.)

Ari gave a small yelp of surprise as she saw the wolf like creature lunge out at her. She wasn't used to battling without daggers yet and her last dagger had been lost somewhere. She held up her arms in front of her to protect herself from impact, but saw Tero. She grabbed him under his arms and began pulling him away. She wouldn't leave him behind. She glared at the creature. She dragged Tero to a nearby hollow. She left him there and stood over him protectively. She nothing to fight with, but didn't show weakness.

Shiv~
Shiv slid across the ground as he missed the vampire, baring his teeth. She had moved the bird-man away and now stood over him, as if he was really after the feathered humanoid. As he examined the girl, he knew that he wouldn't be able to use his gaze to make her tremble in fear just yet, but maybe after he put a few cuts in her...he grinned. He padded slowly towards the half-breed, waiting for her next move. Her speed likely would make any attack he did work against him, but if she attacked him, he had learned how to handle her kind. She likely hadn't seen anything like him before, and he planned on using that to his advantage. She didn't even know he was after her and not the one she was protecting.

She stood there inspecting the wolf creature. She didn't make a move. She was helpless with out her daggers. If only she had some sort of blade. She stood there firmly, gazing at it.

Tero shot up, his wings unfurling like lightning and slapping the . . . Thing in it's face. "PLEASE NO MORE FROGS!" He then opened his eyes and paled as he saw what he slapped.
