Kall returned and whispered something in Lint's ear. She narrowed her eyes but got off of Ogi. "Go, and never come back. You cruelly murdered a bird that had a chance to live, and if we see you again we will do the same."

Ogi scrambled off knowing the threat was not empty. Rosean growled and mutter something unheard.

Kall walked to Amber and picked her up. "I'll be darned! It's the TrueHeart Beta" He said as he put her on the bed.

"Why would she be all the way out here?" Claudio asked.

"Aside from murderous bears killing everyone? I don't know" Kall said as he picked up his pups and put them on a blanket.

"And besides almost killing innocents.......... couldn't you see that the poor fox only ate that bird because she was starving to death.......... I could see her ribs." Rosean growled

Amber coughed herself awake. Her voice was hoarse but she said "That fox wasn't starving. She ate a whole wolf before devouring the bird. And that bird was her ally and friend. Would you eat Claudio if you were only a bit hungry and he was hurt? I didn't think so." With that, she coughed again before falling silent, shadows covering her face. Kall rolled the pups into the blanket like burritos and put them on the bed, watching them play in the makeshift tunnel.

Rosean snorted in disgust of this fox.

Lint shuddered at the Beta's words. She knew this fox once, the way she was before. Life happy, cheerful, friendly, never accusing or judging, always willing to protect ones she held dear. Her whole pack being wiped out probably didn't help to all of those traits.

Claudio pondered Amber's more aggressive tone. He sighed. "All these deaths aren't helping us....... they're ruining our personalities now............ you're more aggressive and less willing to forgive.......... I wish I could fix this." Claudio said
