Lilura noticed him looking at the bags, so she walks over to him and places an arm around him in an awkward side hug. The other hand was occupied with holding trail mix. "Thank you. Without you I wouldn't have gotten here let alone gotten out and maybe not even have survived this far. So... Thank you."

He shrugged. "Don't worry about it. Just remember, if it weren't for me, you might have an actual life."

Lilura thinks about that before saying, "I can't think of any 'actual life' without you." She says slowly, resting her head on his arm.

"Where did that come from?" He asked with a small smile. Besides, some life that would be. It would be awful in his opinion

"I don't know." Lilura says, eating some more trail mix and shrugging.

"You're a strange person, you know that?" He asked with a small laugh.

"Yuppers. 'Normal' people can't seem to remind me enough." Lilura puts the trail mix back.

"I didn't mean it like that," he said with a slight wince.

Lilura sits on the edge of the table, face void of emotion as she looks at Casey. "I know." She says, but her tone said something otherwise.

"Lilura, I swear I didn't mean to hurt you. I swear it. People are jerks. Trust me, I know."
