Tess makes more words appear infront of them. "I don't care if you think it's stupid, you two clearly like eachother. I still lov-" the words were erased, "like you Shade, but if you like Velv more I won't get in the way."

"Oh whatever. Let's just go." she held onto the girl longer and started walking towards the border.

Shade looked guilty, but followed Velv inside. He flopped on his bed, groaning. "This would happen. Right when I find friends, I mess everything up."

"She's just mad because I've known you longer than she has. She needs to learn that not everything is against her." Velv walked over to one of the beds and set the girl on it. She the walked over to her old bed and laid down on it.

"She's been through a lot, you know. She kinda has a right to be threatened. Abused for about twelve years, lost her dad at six, was in a terrible orphanage with me. I don't think she wants me to tell you this, but she has DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder, meaning whenever she does something simple like sneeze or cough she switches personalities. Kaci- what she calls her other personality- is a horrible person, killed her father. They don't share memories, either, their only way of communicating is subconciously listening to the other when they can."

"Oh... " now Velv felt bad. "B-.. Shade..? Do you remember when I left? We were stranded on that island in the middle of the river when those killer bunnies showed up?"

Shade thought for a moment. "Hm? Oh, yeah, I'm lucky I got out alive."

Velv sighed,"I had to jump us across, but right when we landed, I ran away.."

"Yeah? I probably would've too. That's when I found Tess. We used to basically hate eachother... I actually tried to kill her once, ahah.."

Velv smiled. He was still there for her after that whole time she was gone. "So, when do you think she will get over it?"
