You wander around careful to keep your eyes on the crystal that Graveyard was sitting on top of just in case you needed to drag her down later. After skipping over a few large bushes you found an obnoxiously clean crystal path leading up the mountain.

I put a gold coin on the table and say "Well then, I'd like to book a room for a week, please!"
You move off the path slightly and approach the two maybe three people that were walking towards you. As they finally come into view you find that you'd seen both of them before... The manic giggling persisted as one of them spun around in exited circles.
They still don't appear to understand what you are trying to communicate through the odd actions. They get more jumpy and two of them retreat down into the water.
You place your hand down carefully on top of its head, you observe that it noticeable flinches before creating a deep purring noise a bit like an oversized cat. It shakes its wings and settles down in front of you in a careful crouch.
You stand up carefully and dust all the snow and dirt off of you before beginning to approach the tree. The small blue and yellow fox like creature was the first to notice you, it cocked its head sharply and stared at you. A second or so passed before the boy with darker hair's head snapped down towards you. The other boys static gaze was drawn to you several seconds later. They all just kind of stared at you, you weren't quite sure what to do.
What should you do?

I try and read what the tags say before moving closer, sticking my hand out. If I scare it slightly, then I stop moving closer and put my hands up.
They both immediately shrunk back, the bigger of the two giving up on its previous attempt to make itself look bigger and joining the other one in its cowering.
As the coin hit the counter his eyes widened slightly, he glanced up at you quickly before hastily writing something else down in his book. He searched around for something under the desk before producing a bag of what could only be coins. He counted seventeen of them and then places them next to the gold one before pushing the bag towards you along with a key engraved with the number '13'.
"There is your change, your rooms up the stairs on the right."
