Aurora sighed and exited the alleyway. She looked around, noticing how many people were now at the market. She started walking back to her house when a certain cart caught her attention. The cart carried all sorts of fine jewelry, from necklaces to fine tiaras. She walked up to it half expecting the place to be run by some stuck-up rich man, but instead it was run by a charming man.
"Well hello there, pretty lady." The man smirked. "What brings you here to this lovely stand?"
Aurora frowned. "Actually, I was just looking." She glanced over at a beautiful garnet pendant. The man followed her eyes and chuckled.
"I see you're into that pendant over there," he said. "If you want it, you can have it for free."
Aurora looked at him in surprise. "R-really? For a young peasant like me?"
The man nodded. "Yep, it's all yours."
Aurora grinned and gently grabbed the pendant. She carefully put it on, the garnet glistening in the sun. She looked up at the man and smiled. "Thank you, sir."
The man nodded, and Aurora skurried off to her house.
