You walk through a forest, and then it starts getting colder. You pull your jacket more tight around yourself. Soon you see snow, and Midnight is leaving footprints behind you.
You are very cold, and Midnight is getting tired.
But, you see a light (cause it is still dark and the snow makes it hard to see), and it looks like a cabin of some sort.
You quickly ride to it and knock on the door.
When the door opens, there is a rush of warm air and light that hits you. You see a small girl in the door way.

"Can I come in?" you ask.

"Oh yes, please do, it is cold outside!" the young girl waves her hand and steps away to let you in.

You step in, and Midnight follows you. Inside is not very big. A fireplace, and small cot, a sink, a small stove, and a small table with two chairs.
Midnight curls up in front of the fireplace.

"Thank you for letting us in." you say.

"I wouldn't want to be stuck outside in this weather either!" the girl said. She sat down in one of the chairs.

You sit down on the other one, and you see her finger with something small and gold. The piece looks like it broke off of something, and you suddenly feel something pull you toward it. But when the girl puts it back in her pocket, the pull leaves.
The girl sets food and water down in front of you, but gets up when you both hear a knock on the door.

"Is it another traveler stuck in the snow?" she wonders to herself.

The girl opens the door, and you can only see a figure.

"Hello," she says, "do you need to come in and-"

You see the figure move, and the girl gasps. You stand up as she falls backwards to the floor, and knife in her chest. The figure walks more into the cabin, and the door shuts. Its a bandit. And he has another knife, what do you do?

"A loyal pet who is kind and can help me, also a reasonable scenter. Almost like a pet." you say to the woman.

She seems to think a bit, then brightens up. "I have just the thing! Do you like Puffadore?"

"Yes." you say. "Good, because here is the perfect one for you!" the woman thrusts out her hand at a black Puffadore "His name is Gascoigne"

"Perfect," you say as you hand the woman money. She opens the cage door, and you pet Gascoigne. Gascoigne licks your hand, and come out of the cage. "Thank you and good bye!"

The woman waves as you leave the shelter. You pull out a map and compass, do you want to go north, west, east, or south?

I keep my weapon (or my fists) ready for any possible attack. I call Midnight to me.

You decide to go east, so you walk for a while. You come to a river, and a canyon is on the other side of it. You want to get over to the canyon, and look down, but the river is to strong to just cross. Orchid steps back from the water in disgust.
How will you get over?

Midnight jumps to your side, and growls at the bandit, but the bandit is not fazed.
You are holding a sword, and the bandit starts forward, his intention is to kill you and Midnight.

As a Javva, I am well trained. I fight the bandit and then corner him at swordpoint. The fight ends with all his weapons gone, and now I want to ask him questions.

I gather my things and head East, thanking the women on my way out.

You grab a chair, and you throw it at him. The bandit falls to the ground, and he drops his dagger. You quickly take it as the bandit stand.

"Leave, now!" you say.

The bandit looks around, and decides there is nothing to steal anyways, and he runs out the door.
You are breathing hard, and you take out the golden chip, it glitters and shines.
