Quick question, What is your book series called?

well, its not up for public yet though,lol.

but its basically called 'monster school'.

still debating if changing name or not lol.

Here is my story! I was reading through some other peoples stories and they seemed to portray that Caedes has four eyes, but in most of the pictures she is shown with only three which is it? Anyway, I tried to make my story accurate but also with some added creativity. Hope you like!


I stepped lightly, wincing as my booted foot crunched softly on the needle-strewn forest floor. Ma would be furious if she knew what I was doing. She had already forbidden my going into the woods to hunt Sylestie eggs. The forest is dangerous for a trained hunter, let alone an eleven-year old girl! she had told me. No more daily expeditions into the woods. Well, she hadnt said anything about nightly expeditions. Even I knew that the woods were probably five, if not ten times more dangerous at night, especially with the strange reports of hunting expeditions disappearing; turning up the next day with their throats violently ripped out and stripped of all valuables. Some said it was bandits, most said it was Caedes, a horrible demonic monster that had come to our village sixty years ago and threatened our people. Those who survived are too traumatized to say anything about the monster, except that she is a deadly, unearthly being that will show no mercy. Everyone thought she had left, until the hunting parties stopped returning. I was risking my life, and my mothers wrath to come here looking for Sylesties and their eggs. It was dangerous, very dangerous, but we needed the money from selling them. Mayor Brindale would pay practically an arm and a leg for a Sylestie, and the gold would keep us alive and out of trouble for six months.

I had done it before, several times, and Ma never asked where I got the gold, only made sure I didnt steal it. I checked the trees and peeked through bushes for nests. Just one egg I thought. I was starting to consider returning to the house; it was dark, and I had a spine-chilling feeling that something was watching me. I suddenly tripped over a root, landing hard on the forest floor. Right in front of my nose was a Sylestie nest with a single, dark blue egg in the center. I stood up, looking over my shoulder to make sure the parents were not around. Then I stepped up, reached into the nest and slid my hands around the smooth egg. I wrapped it in a corner of my cloak and cradled it in one arm. As I turned to leave I heard a rustle in the bushes behind me, thinking it was the eggs parents I started to run and something slammed into my back with a sting like the two floggings Ma had once given me for stealing. I was smacked into a tree and the egg flew from my arms, I never saw where it landed. I rolled onto my back; gasping for breath and that when I saw her.

Caedes, it had to be, with the body of a wolf but with curling horns and twin rat-like tails. What else could she look like but this foul creature? She stepped casually onto my cloak to keep me from escaping. I raised my hand to the clasp, but my numb fingers fumbled the chain and I couldnt undo it. Caedes stood over me, bloody drool dripping from the corner of her mouth onto my hand. She licked her lips with a forked black tongue and stared at me with three glowing red eyes, two on her left side, one on her right. I thought I could see a scar above her right eye that may have been a fourth eye once, but it was too dark to tell. Stealing sylestie eggs again, young mortal? Caedes purred. I swallowed, finding my last flicker of courage and replied What is it to you? She grinned, Wonderful, hardly any mortals can find their tongues for some last words. Her dangerous purr lowered into a growl and she leaned in close, so I could smell her rancid breath, and placed her huge paw down on my chest. You will make a delicious snack! I realized I would never see Ma or the town again if I didnt think of something quick. Wait! I gasped as her teeth brushed the sides of my head, leaving bloody streaks across my face. Caedes paused and pulled her head back. You didnt answer my question. I said in a spur of inspiration. What is it to you that I take Sylestie eggs from the forest. Caedes let out a snort of laughter. It has been a long time indeed since a mere mortal has surprised me, and to answer your question its nothing to me since I ate that eggs parents. I just wanted to lure you in as dessert. She opened her jaws again. But you c- but you cant eat me, Im your only conversational companion. I was desperate for anything that might keep me alive. Well, mortal, luckily for you I have already eaten and I appreciate being amused. I will let you live. I breathed a sigh of relief. On one condition. She put her weight on my chest, cutting my sigh of relief short. You can never leave the forest, and if you try, I will not hesitate next time." Then she whipped around and slammed her hooved hind legs into the side of my head, and everything went black.

Also, cool. I will keep an eye out for those books in the future. I hope to read them.

she has four eyes, well, had, one of them is hurt, so she doesn't use it anymore.
