3 sentences or less about yourself on Sylestia: I haven't played in a few years but I'm thinking about coming back. This would be my gateway to it, most likely. I like collecting certain types of Ryori pets and just enjoying the social aspect of the game.
What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment on Sylestia? Winning the red curse ryori from the fall festival a few years back. Spent the entire day doing it and managed to finish in the top 5.

Here's a thought for everyone, whether they are participating or not. This is a great time to go through your Stables and your Wardrobe for (1) pets who are surplus to your requirements and (2) avatar items you never actually use.

While this Secret Santa doesn't call for participants to actually list things they want, participants' lists of favorites could give you an idea of what to look for during your clean-out. Perhaps someone listed a favorite avatar item you had forgotten that you even own. If you are that person's Secret Santa, great! But if you aren't, you could put that item on the Broker so their actual Secret Santa knows you have it.

Or, remember that Themed pet you caught--the one that turned out to have a trait you can't stand? Every trait is someone's* favorite trait, so put that pet up for sale!

For my part, if I am selling an item or pet, and you specifically want to buy it for your Secret Santa "target," but my price is too high for you, PM me. If you want the item or pet specifically for Secret Santa, I will do my best to work out something so that you can get it.

BTW, we need another term. The "Secret Santa" is the person who is secretly giving a gift or gifts to another player. What should we call the person receiving the gifts? "Target" seems a bit odd. "Secret Santa Recipient" is a mouthful. Thoughts?

when will the pet gifts be picked up for gifts?

Spelf - I've been calling the "gifter" Santa and the "giftee" their Match. Any use? :P That's how I have everyone differentiated in my spreadsheets

Starline - The deadline isn't until the 20th. I will get through all mails and will be sending a noted reply as I process things and take them into my possession but I'm not in any huge rush to do that as it does of course mean housing and feeding pets through til the end of December and I like to work through my PMs in chronological order ;)

DEADLINE ADJUSTMENT


Secret Santa gifts must now be with me by the 23rd of December.

This is to allow Winter Festival to begin and those who wanted to include Winter Festival items in their gifts to do so.

This does mean some patience with receiving gifts will be required as it pushes my "distribution" of gifts close to and over Christmas Day itself, when I will be rather busy.

To recap, when you are sending me the gifts for your Match:
-Use their entry form, their stables and their profile to get an idea of what to buy/breed/draw/etc. Their Entry Form is NOT a list of the things you Must get.
-Ensure to send a gift that you would be happy to receive; there is a week until the deadline to allow for saving up for something to really make them smile.
-Send a Private Message to me with the contents of the gift(s) you are sending for my records.

On the topic of sending offspring and wanting to avoid having yourself as the Original Owner:
-Organise to send a female to me via private message.
-I shall breed the female with your male (or a male of your choice if you're paying the breeding fee)
-The egg goes into my hatchery with me as the original owner
-The female goes back to you/your friend/whence it came and the egg goes into my records as a gift for your Match!
