To those involved in this thread - I sincerely appreciate you playing along with my game. I am sorry I have neglected to oversee this thread as much as I would have liked. I have been out of town attending to some very urgent and unexpected issues regarding someone I am very close to. I ask that you please take the time to read this post and vote on the options below. Vote in this thread and ping me
Option 1:
I am looking at extending it until the 2nd of January. I am also looking to speed up how the game is play so everyone gets to take their turns. I propose having those who have yet to take their turn in round one send me a mail about how they would like to proceed. I would like you to send in two possible courses of action in the mail. The one you want most. And one you'd like if the first course of action is no longer available. I will give everyone 3 days to send in this mail as it is the holiday season. A mail might look as follows:
" First Choice: Steal #28
Second Choice: Steal #1"
If both choices fail, I will mail the person in question and ask them to choose another course of action as the sylesti in question is no longer available. The following rounds would proceed similarly with 3 days to send in a mail regarding their action. There will be a 1 day period in between where I work on updates, and sending out any mails to those who had both choices fail. This does inhibit people's ability to work off a strategy, but does allow for more game play. If you fail to send in a message within the span, you will simply cease to take action.
Option 2:
I can have one or two helpers that help me facilitate this game if any of you would be willing of course! In this case I'd likely extend the date of this game to conclude at the end of the winter festival as it's fairly slow paced with trying to get pings in the correct places. Said helpers would not be allowed to exchange for another present in the gift pile however as I would have to share with them my methodology for sylestis involved.
Option 3:
The original end date was the 23rd and we'd like to go ahead and pick up the pets we ended with post updates on the promised date.
I vote #3
I have yet to take a turn but am satisfied with the pet I unwrapped. I do think those who got stolen from should get 1 more turn to get a desired pet, and some people who have yet to take a single turn may want one as well.
And thank you so much for organizing a overseeing this holiday game, white elephant is always a fun game to play but does take a lot of work for you. Thank you!

Those who have chosen 3, I must go ahead and give their pets per Sylestia Rules. But each of the pets bought will be replaced by another pet as similar to the original as I can find. For example:
This lovely girl will replaced by
Replaced by
These Sylestis will be placed in the pile unwrapped, corresponding to the number of the Sylesti that was taken home. That way, those who still wish to play may and will have a similar selection of pets. I am starting to set up those that will be taken home for those who chose option 3. I'll shuffle in the replacement pets shortly after and give those who wish to play until the 30th at 12pm Sylestia time to decided between option 1 and 2.
Thanks again for the patience and understanding.
Edit: Pets are ready under out Sylestis for those who chose 3. New pets are under present pile.
