With a coat of fur that dissolves into the snowy surroundings - it's almost impossible to spot the alpha, even with her pale blue eyes.
Personality:
Itari possesses a loving yet protective nature, kind to all wolves unless they wish to harm the pack. She's loyal and selfless, and for her, it's always the pack and her comrades before herself. While she prefers not to fight, instead preferring to smooth things over with a talk, she will resort to claws if the situations deems it.
She's nearly always calm, hiding any emotion underneath a gentle smile and a steadfast voice. Even when angry her demeanour stays the same...most of the time. When her mask breaks, fangs and claws are nothing Itari won't use, and she nearly itches for a fight. However, cases of that have been rare, with the only times she's ever done that being when her pack, friend and family were in danger.
Itari's not the strongest wolf around, she's rather weak physically. But her speed, her agility... she's one of the fastest wolves in the pack, and her alabaster fur makes it all the more harder for enemies or prey to see her. Needless to say, she uses this to her advantage, ambushing predator and prey alike from the snow.
She likes the cold, but doesn't mind the heat that visits the mountain when the snow clears. When it rains, unlike most who would cower (who the Solstice pack? Last she check most just wandered around, oblivious to their dampening fur) and hide, she watches her pack's outdoors camp from a platform that overlooks it.
History:
There was nothing much that was special about her - she was a normal arctic wolf with a white pelt. But perhaps it was her rigorous training in her youth that led to her current position as alpha - form young she was taught how to fight, hunt, gather herbs, climbing.... so on and so forth, all the skills needed to survive in their home.
Her father taught her these skills, training her how to be an alpha, in hopes that she could succeed him. Her mother, on the other hand, fostered the positive traits that now dominate Itari's personality. She was the one who taught Itari what it meant to be a leader, while her father taught her skills that could help her.
Itari's first challenge came through the form of a younger brother, whom she was tasked of training and caring for when he hit the age of 7. She did so willingly, and under her care Rin prospered, rising quickly to become one of the pack's best apprentices. Though, by this time, she was taking care of all three of her siblings.
This, along with other achievements in her life, caused her father to realise that she, out of all the rest, was best suited for the title of 'Alpha'. It was then that they decided that it was time for them to step down as Alpha male and female, time for them to rest a little - and with Itari's acceptance, mad her the alpha. And for two years, Itari reigned as Winter Queen, leader of the pack who rules the snow.

In the black of night a wolf moves silently, blending in with the darkened surroundings. This is In'ei, a pitch black wolf with eyes that shine like gold.
Personality:
A wolf of little words, In'ei is known to rarely talk, lest he finds it needed. He keeps to himself, much like the rest of his siblings, and few ever truly knows what he's thinking. While he usually keeps a calm demeanour in any situation, he's quick to bear his teeth, a warning to others not to come near.
Protective, especially so of his siblings, In'ei will not lie down when his friends and family are threatened. He's loyal, and knows when and when not to pick a fight. However, he's standard tone may come off as condescending or aloof, and many may find this aggravating. Yet, there's not much he would do, since he finds it distasteful to have to act to gain the trust of another.
He's stronger than he is fast - but that's not to mean he isn't quick. He's in the middle, quick and strong, but not on the extreme of either. He's secretive, and this reflects in his favoured method of attack, where he hides in the shadows before pouncing. Smarts, strength and speed combined, makes In'ei a fearsome enemy to have.
In'ei loves the dark, shadows, night - it's usually a time of quiet, where the rest go to sleep. Yet, he, he remains awake, marvelling at the stars and moon. Needless to say, his favourite time of day is when the sunsets, and silence is a priority to him. He just can't handle noise!
History:
The family of rogues once used to belong to a pack - or at least, their parents did. Their children braved through the hardships of a rogue's life, supported by their parents. This lifestyle taught them at a young age that no one else would help them, they could only rely on themselves and their family.
It fostered a strong bond between the siblings, and taught them to live a secretive lifestyle, such that they could not be easily tracked by pack wolves and be hunted down for being in pack territory. However, this changed when the family found the Solstice pack when they wandered through the Snowy Mountains.
Upon meeting the pack, then led by Fusetsu and Yuki, with an injured Seishin, they learned that, perhaps not every pack was as bad as they thought. While resting in their camp, In'ei met Itari, whom he became close friends with. They would spar, play and talk to each other, something that In'ei rarely did. But his family, they were happy - he had finally found a friend.
This, along with the overall friendliness of the pack, was what prompted Yoru and Kage to ask for sanctuary - to which they were granted that. Ever since, the family of rogues have made the Solstice pack their second home, but as wanderers, they've always been on the move.

In the cold forests of the Snowy Mountains, a wolf lurks in the silver-toned trees, his pelt melding with the background to hide him completely. Nearly white eyes don't give away his position as he stalks his prey, waiting for the right moment to attack....
Personality:
Byakuya's a lighthearted wolf, who tends to be a little air-headed and oblivious. He acts like he isn't the sharpest wolf around, but underneath the carefree and childish attitude lies a natural leader who will rise to the occasion if need be. He may appear timid, but he's a courages wolf who knows when to be serious.
He's a little more brash than others, but just as protective and loyal as the other pack members are of each other. He possesses a sharp tongue, and when angry tends to lash out, his mind clouded by his rage. Yet, he does know how to hold back, and can control his anger. When he's serious, Byakuya can be strict, sometimes cruel, but his kind-hearted nature remains.
He's quick and agile, yet strong enough to help the other wolves transport materials and such across the dangerous slopes of the mountains. His stamina may be a little lacking, for he requires more resting times then the rest. However, he refuses to just let that be, and he pushes himself to his limits to increase his stamina.
Byakuya likes the snow, the cold, the dark, the northern lights - the auroras that dance across the sky at night. He especially likes the days that take after his name, the white nights where no mater how late it is, it never gets completely dark. He finds it a calming and beautiful night, and is one of his favourite times of the year.
History:
Byakuya was raised normally, trained holistically while his parents tried to figure out which specialisation he best fit in. He would play when he could, eat and sleep, and it took a lot for him to be serious, even during training. His parents nearly even gave up on him!
Yet, when the day came that one of their packmate's pup had disappeared, his parents saw the serious side of him when he dragged the wounded pup back, rushing first towards the medical den. It was then that his parents knew that their son had potential, just hidden deep in him.
So they trained, they let him play, they gave him a schedule that he stuck to. And he grew. He became stronger and faster, and even the alphas then took a keen interest in him, as had their daughter. While the pack was still under Fusetsu and Yuki, Byakuya was one of the lead hunters, and his group nearly always gave the most amount of prey.
When Itari took over however, and the previous beta retired with her parents, she appointed Byakuya as her beta, her second in charge. He had been surprised, but as he spent time with his new alpha, learnt why she had chosen him. His family, siblings and parents, were proud, and so was he. He had been chosen as a beta, and he would not let his pack down while he lived. |
