Cuddly21223, Scarlettkitsune, Britters, Nightstarre, Aly, you all have been added.

Lumya, I'm sorry but since round two has started, the game is closed to new contestants. This is to prevent getting close to the end and someone able to essentially skip over all of the dangers and have a chance at the big prize. If you'd like, I'll put you on a future ping list; I plan on doing this again and would love to have you join then ^-^;

My internet went out last night so this round will be ending sometime this afternoon. Anyone who is currently in the game but has not chosen a path will, unfortunately, be left behind to stare at a wall or something. I cannot give a set time as I am on call, but it will be late afternoon / early evening, I imagine. Besides, everything's spookier at dusk.

ROUND THREE! CLOSED!

Tierrana, Donmino, Firepepper, Britters and Aly start for the closed door. It is old, heavy, and seems stuck from years of moisture and neglect. The explorers put their ears to the door in an attempt to hear if it is safe. But it is to no avail, for the door is solid wood and very thick. After pushing and pushing, inch by inch the door gives way to a dark room. It is dark. Dark and drafty. Dark, drafty, and damp. The group lets their eyes adjust..And a skittering noise can faintly be heard. Soft squeaking frantically darts around the room. Eyes widen in horror at the huge rat-like monstrosity which has made his nest here behind the solid door.

A breeze comes from behind the rat and slams the door shut. Now everyone is trapped in a room with this deformed, malnourished, ugly rat. But there's a chance! An exit behind the rat: the rat's tunnel. Frantically as the monster rat lunges for a nearby sylesti, everyone charges to the tunnel. The rat's angry squeaks can be heard from behind as the group continues onward into darkness. But then, there's a light ahead. And more light. Soon, they can see the end of the tunnel, covered in flora and vines. Everyone bursts through into sunlight, and safety. They look at each other and realize everyone has a few mushrooms on them. The mushrooms must have been in the tunnel.

(Unfortunately, the game stops here for you. I hope you had fun, though. Please let me know if you'd like to be on a future ping list for any other games or contests. And please enjoy your consolation mushrooms. Thank you for playing!)

Mikazuki, Keanai, Nyoka, Ivodince, Mewzzer, Winter, Jadelion, Velyanthe, Masterofdragons, Willowivy, Okapilover7, Fang, Cuddly21223, Scarlettkitsune, and Nightstarre all head for the grand staircase. It is wide enough for the large group to fit, and there is even a platform half way up for them to gather and determine whether it is safe to continue. It is dark ahead, almost too dark to see. Slowly they ascend, cautious of whatever lurks ahead. As everyone takes their last step at the top of the stairs, they look around at their new surroundings. Doors are ahead and around them. Seems like they made it to a new decision.

(Congratulations, you have made it to Round Three, please see below.)

----------------

Entropy, Aaronampora, Sessi, Psalmreader121, Evieseriously, Barcode454, Gingerpaw, Candyprincess, and Pets101creator202 creep carefully towards the slightly ajar, old door. If it is open, someone must have been here, right? Everyone knew about this house, and a good few knew about the treasure. Still, the dust on the floor revealed no new foot prints, or prints of any kind. The sylesties, apparently braver than their counterparts, make their way to the door and peek inside. A few give a little nod of their head suggesting it seems safe, while a few others look around with great curiosity. As everyone files into the new room, cobwebs stream down from the tall ceiling. Dusty books lie in piles on the floor at the feet of old bookcases. A large desk sits in the middle of the room, complete with ornate carvings. The room had indeed been ransacked, surely all treasure was gone. But, they picked this room--something had to have drawn them here. Everyone begins looking and sniffing around.

After searching every inch of the old library, everyone realized that there must be no treasure. They lost. Slowly, sadly, everyone started making their way back to the door when someone's nosey sylesti started pawing at the ground in front of one of the bookcases.

There are scratch marks on the floor, as if something had been dragged across it a few times. Something heavy. Like..a bookcase. All together, everyone pulls the bookcases away from the wall. They were almost to the ceiling and looked like built-in bookcase; who would have known they moved? Behind the bookcase is a small hole in the old wall. It is dark and nothing can be seen. Even the sylesties are a bit apprehensive to approach. Suddenly, a shimmer can be seen! And another! Shimmering things are never bad, right? Someone brave approaches to ..put their hand in? Of course not! They take a stick and poke around in the dark hole in the wall. Something shimmering moves and.. out bounces a glowing purple orb! Excitedly, everyone rushes forward. There are 9 Experience Orbs, enough for each person. With so much shoving to get an orb, someone bumps an inconveniently placed lever and the door slams shut, trapping them! Well, there is a window. Maybe now we know how the first window got broken: Not someone trying to get in, but trying to escape!

(Thanks for playing, this was a sub-treasure room. Your adventure ends here but I hope you had fun and enjoy the prizes. For distribution, your names and prizes were matched randomly using a generator.)

ROUND THREE

After climbing the old staircase, the large group looks at their new choices.

To the left is a slightly open glass french doors that leads to, as it appears, a balcony. Looks a bit overgrown but stable, at least.

Ahead of them stand two large, grand double doors. These are ornate and made from wood and have metal gilding in a decorative pattern. However, there are claw marks beneath the door on the hardwood floors. Claw marks as if something had been dragged one way or another. Something large.

To the right is another slightly open door. This is a wooden door, and looks quite heavy. There seems to hang a heavy presence. Or maybe that is just your imagination.

Which path do you choose? You have until October 5th at midnight!

To the left, french doors:
Nightstarre
Mewzzer
Winter

Ahead, the heavy double doors:
Mikazukichan
Fang
Ivodince
Willowivy
Scarlettkitsune
Keanai

To the right, another slightly open door:
Velyanthe
Nyoka
Jadelion
Cuddly21223
Okapilover7

The heavy door on the right. The ones heading forward seem quite unsafe, and the balcony probably doesn't go anywhere.

xD Nevermind, figured it out. Cool game! A sub-prize is better than no prize.

Mika looked at her three sylesties and thought that it might be better to let them decide. One sylesti went to each door and sniffed. Callianta went to the balcony door. after her nose did some work, her tail waved, but it seemed uncertain, as if the Zolnixi thought it might be safe, but couldn't be sure. Caern went to the heavy double doors and sniffed around the scratches at the bottom. A bit of a growl mixed with a whine came from his throat. Was he upset? Or worried? Finally, Deliantan headed for the open door. His bright yellow fur began to bristle, but he kept moving toward the door. Mika could feel the strange energy that was making his fur rise. Could this house really be haunted?

When all three sylesties returned to her side, Mika asked them about the doors in turn. "The balcony?" Callianta looked over at it, then seemed to shake her head. Seemed the Zolnixi didn't trust the sturdiness of the blacony. "Those doors?" Caern whined and moved closer to the door. Did that mean that another sylesti was trapped in there and he wanted to help? "What about the open door?" Deliantan shivered, but yipped encouragingly. Hmmm.... help a possibly trapped Sylesti? Or face what could be a ghost?

She turned to Caern. "Well, Caern, let's see if we can help whoever's there. This could be a trap though, you know." She told her friends as they headed for the closed double doors.

(tl;dr: chose the closed doors ahead)
