"Well, I don't know most peoples' kind anyways." She shrugs. "Not many people in the area, so not many opportunities to find out about other kinds."

Also, I feel like Mangrove is just gonna be like the two Remora, showing up at the most inconvenient times just because it can)

"Who knows? Maybe some random group of people will show up someday and take one of those abandoned castles around the area." Nethimir said, shrugging.

"That'd be nice." She smiles. "It can be a little lonely, so having some neighbors again would be ni-"


She's interrupted by a loud scream, from somewhere close but further inland.

Nethimir instinctively got up from the sand, looking towards where the scream came from. "What was that??"

"I don't know." She's immediately worried, her usual carefree demeanor dispersed. "But we should check it out. Someone must be hurt."

"Yeah sure, because I have a death wish." She said with obvious sarcasm, giving Nila a glare.

She ignores that and hurries further inland, towards where the sound came from.

Nethimir sighed, putting her cloak's hood on and following the Remora at the same pace she was going.

She hears a strange noise, faintly and up ahead. It sounds a little like a rattle, and a little like high winds.

She can also see a singular sand dune, weirdly high for how close to the beach it is.
