Notes:
- Adventure/mystery with... a lot of traveling somehow
- One setting takes place at a stable/race track dealing with drugged riders or sick horses
- Possibly elemental magic
- Villain sets up at least one of the protagonists to take the fall for the crime(s)
- Other protagonists also get dragged into it somehow, maybe some are friends of the main protagonist, someone has their own agenda but runs into and goes with the main protagonist because something about the protagonist's goal partially aligns with their own, maybe someone else knows the villain separately and is on the run directly from the villain, etc.

How did you get the thread to accept a blank page?

I use one of the formatting buttons but don't put any actual content in it (I usually just hit the center align button), it counts the code as characters but nothing actually shows up because there's not "actual" text being formatted

Thank you for telling me.

Now for the idea (keep in mind I'm refernecing not suggesting) are you suggesting something like Carmen Sandiago? Where the protaginst or antaginst travels around the world looking for clues? Because I don't remember off the top of my head. Ty

I haven't watched it so I don't know exactly what it's like, but I'm thinking it's more like protagonist is like doing their own thing but are then forced to travel because of the antagonist's actions (such as they're trying not to get framed or whatever), and that eventually turns from running away into trying to find clues by traveling to where they think they'll find things
Do you want to add some supernatural elements into the story? (Like antagonist is trying to mess with ancient curses or something idk)

That's a really good idea. It reminds me a bit of the series The Mummy. Which dealt with acient egyptian curses but they traveled around the world to get clues on how to get the bracelet off of the couple's son Alex while trying to defeat the Mummy. So do you have an idea for the ancient curse?

Not sure, perhaps it's linked to what's making the horses/riders sick in one of the events? Like all the characters think that the antagonist is doing it with like a drug or something but it's actually much, much deeper
Also, how's the magic system work? Obviously the classic would just be everyone gets assigned an element but I'm thinking of maybe a more complicated twist

Maybe some of the elements could become corrupted like for example my character has the element of light but suddenly it goes dark and he or she could no longer control their powers. And depending on which element the horse could be linked to might be what's making them so sick? The antiaginst could be messing with the base of the elements or something else which is effecting them. There could be different stages of magic for example stage a able to conqure up a candle light while stage z could completly disappear from view or something. The grimware (basically just a book of magic) comes to mind. In that book there could be ancient spells that allow the user to control magic that they would not normally have and be able to trick people that way.

Ooh, that makes sense. Maybe it's less of a power and more of a sort of inherent alignment thing? Like light aligned people will like naturally have light bend towards them and stuff, and it's not about how much you can harness but rather about how good you are at having a handle on it. So if you don't have a great grasp on it, it can also be detrimental. (Like an air person could be blown away or something lol.) It's like a muscle, you have to keep working on it to keep your control, most people are usually able to use it for daily things and have a decent handle on it (at least for it not to be out of control) just by doing stuff as they get older but you need actual practice to do cool stuff.
You mean grimoire? Yeah, maybe it could give a way to sort of take other people's inherent abilities, but the villain doesn't quite know how to get it to work for him so he's trying to find like other ancient texts and stuff to teach him but as he travels the grimoire is corrupting the abilities of people around him.

Maybe he stole the grimoire from some museum or highly-protected place and he's trying to frame one of the protagonists for that.
